I had really high hopes for this place as the Google reviews were rated pretty high. I'm not sure if we caught them on a bad day or not but our food was not good at all.
We ordered Combination Fried Rice 🍚 with extra shrimp 🍤, Shrimp Fried Rice 🍚 with extra shrimp 🍤 (Fried Spicy) and Crab Rangoon. The shrimp were rubbery and very over cooked. Rice was "mushy" and tasted old. The Crab Rangoon tasted as though it had been reheated not fresh at all.
We spent a decent amount on dinner so my husband called to express our concerns. The lady told him that she'd remake the order fresh for us next time. My husband asked was it not fresh this time. The lady indicated that it wasn't. My husband clarified by asking "So you used old Shrimp in our meal?" She replied "Yes".
WOW!!!! I was outdone. On one hand I appreciated her telling us the truth. On the other hand I was upset that they allowed this poor quality food to go out the door. ESPECIALLY, when I told the lady upon ordering it was our first time visiting this establishment.
No customer deserves subpar quality food but it especially didn't sit right with me that this was the first impression they chose to give us.
Needless to say, I won't be...
Read moreDon't let the pictures fool of the restaurant itself first. Those are pictures of how nice it was before the new "management" came in and ruined it with large freezers of frozen food and a buffet set up like you'd find in an Indian restaurant on Sunday. I've never seen it in use though. I can't imagine they have the room for it. I've gone there twice since it changed hands and both times it was awful. The first time I got the beef fried rice and it was bland, it tasted like it had been cooked with left over rice. The 2nd time I ordered egg rolls that were tough and dried out. They tasted like they had decided to use cheap ingredients in the food. I used really like the Kung Poa Chicken before but I'm afraid to even order now. The customer service is also awful now. The old management was better esp when they knew your name when walked in the door. I won't waste my time or money at this place anymore. It might further away but I'll go to Asian Pearl in Olathe...
Read moreThis used to be our biweekly “go-to” Chinese place for the last decade since we moved to south OP, but since they changed ownership or management, it is disgusting. I just ordered a $15 meal and it was obviously reheated noodles and general’s chicken, not fresh whatsoever. I would’ve been better off buying it next-door at Hy-Vee. I think maybe they do a Buffet now? The entire place is full of, some kind of buffet area and equipment - so maybe my $15 dinner was reheated leftovers from lunch today? I noticed today that they’re using old Starbucks glass cold coffee bottles, that have been (hopefully) washed out, now filled in with condiments for the Chinese food. 😜 I miss the old owners, who were so nice, and the place was so clean and food was good. Today was the final straw, we tried giving them a break for changes, but now We won’t...
