Was in this store on Tuesday March 26, 2020. Nice store. Friendly staff. I go in to do some shopping for myself and my elderly neighbor. I went past the paper towels and toilet paper. Pallets had limit 2, and there was no toilet paper. I've got toilet paper because I buy toilet paper when it's on sale and have a decent supply that I bought in 2019.
I was meandering the isles, picking things up to purchase. I was near the entry to the back of the store. There was a young couple standing there, and an employee of Aldi's came out from the back and handed them a 12 pack of toilet paper. As I was in line I heard it was the employees daughter. I asked the cashier to call the manager.
As I was waiting for her to get me the store managers number, I watched the couple go through the line and the toilet paper was rung up.
I discussed it with who I assumed to be the assistant manager, as she said the store manager wouldn't be in until tomorrow, the 27th.
I was not mad, however, I didn't find it to be proper protocol. If the employee wanted to get toilet paper for her daughter, she should of done it on her own time and given it to her daughter outside the store.
I did call corporate. Funny.....they record YOU, but YOU cannot record them.
I tell ya, if that would of happened in certain parts of Kansas City......and people saw that employee doing that. There'd be a stampede, everyone wanting...
Read moreI like shopping this Aldi because of it’s convenient location to other businesses I frequent. However, getting in and out of the parking lot in the directions I need is less convenient. In addition, the staff here are not very friendly and don’t particularly communicate with customers. Even when I check out I usually only get the obligatory “did you find everything today” and that’s where it stops. I often see staff stocking shelves in the aisles or moving product, and they never greet the customers, and several times I have seen 2 or more of them in a single aisle working together, laughing or having a personal conversation and obstructing the shelves from customers, and they don’t even seem to be aware the customers exist. The special buys aisle is often disheveled and chaotic, and it’s hard to find the right price tags for items.
That all being said, this location tends to have just about everything else stocked pretty well most of the time, and their produce is usually on the better side compared to some other Aldi locations...
Read moreAlthough this location has gone through an overhaul of its appearance on the outside and more shelving space for more products, there is no sense of flow and is very disorganized. Once you walk in you get the sense that they want you to buy junk food first or items that are clearly unnecessary to a healthy diet. By the time you get through the store, you end up having to back track for items you may have missed.
On the plus side, prices are reasonable for the most part but there are some items that cost about the same as if you shopped at Hy-Vee, Hen House or Price Chopper. They do keep the store clean, which is good as I've seen other stores that are not so clean.
Overall the atmosphere of the store can be a bit chaotic during peak time. Parents need to get a better handle on their children as the run around or get loud. Parents, the kids are not your boss and you need to take control of their behavior. However, most are...
