I have to agree with some of the reviews about the quality of ingredients used as well as the reviews about the portion sizes... I ordered 1 sushi roll & 1 hibachi entree (the filet mignon and shrimp combo). It was jaw-dropping when I saw the plate they gave me: a huge round serving plate piled high on one half with fried rice and the other half split with noodles and veggies. Unfortunately I then saw the portion of proteins on top: 8 shrimp (one size above mini shrimp) and 8 small cubes of steak. I know it was a combo entree so you always expect a little less of each protein, but there was maybe 3-oz of steak total on the plate. It was apparently a good deal at $27, but the only real amount of food served was rice, noodles, & basic veggies - all of which are clearly NOT worth the $27. If that is really what we are being charged for, I would gladly take half portions of those 3 to get more meat. The rice and veggies were fine to eat, but the noodles were very bland and greasy, not pleasant to eat at all. Plus, I have seen much larger shrimp at any average Chinese food takeout, with much larger serving sizes for far less $. The filet was the best tasting, but that is barely a positive since there was so little of it...
In pics here I see plentiful amounts of chicken, which may only further my point: chicken is cheap. Funnily enough, on the menu you can order “extras” like extra rice for $3 and even extra steak...for $9. That is not even extra filet! Just the regular steak. To make the meal have even enough meat for 1 adult, you have to pay another $9, which is $36. I know many reviews talk about how you pay less here than other places, but there is no comparison here. Honestly you will end up paying more here for a normal serving of protein. Without any drinks or extras, it me cost $50 for 1 person (for 1 sushi roll and 1 hibachi entree, plus tax & tip). That is waaay too much $$. And yes, I walked away needing more protein and had to cook my own...
Read moreFirst experience ordering sushi at Arigato and I am left feeling "eh" about it. I don't mind paying good money for good sushi, but the rolls were underwhelming.
The combinations and creations of different rolls had be scouring the menu for 30 minutes with excitement. I chose the Arigato roll (I thought hey it's the name of the restaurant, so I must) and the Golden Roll.
The Golden roll was fresh tasting and I appreciated the kick of the Honey Wasabi. It was well balanced in flavor, but the presence of the Teriyaki sauce was missing. I loved the combination of the spicy tuna and the soft mild taste of the crab meat. It was topped with a good amount of white fish and tuna, but it was supposed to include avocado? Which either it was missing or so minute that it was detectable. That was a disappointment; not much roe either. The tempura gave a good crunch, but it was all clumped together so it wasn't included in every bite
The Arigato was the biggest letdown, the tempura was wayyyyyyy too crispy- It was dark brown and hard as a rock. The shrimp tempura in the roll tasted was like chewing on rubber covered in the awful rock hard tempura batter. It was supposed to include scallion, nope. The teriyaki sauce was the consistency of a paste not a sauce, awful. The "baked spicy scallop" was chopped into small pieces and unseasoned - I would not call that spicy.
As much as I wanted to love the rolls I couldn't. The Golden roll was good, but the Arigato was beyond awful.
I'd love to give this place a second try, but with sushi being as expensive as it is, it's huge letdown when the speciality rolls are not good. If you're reading this I encourage you to give it a try, but I would steer clear of the deep fried rolls in the Arigato is any indication of...

Receive the cheesecake it has chocolate on it I dont eat chocolate dont eat chocolate and the whip creme is melted on top of that. I honestly thought they gave me ice cream. Well we cant get back out to you right now we are very busy but I can give you a credit. So I told her I will just pick it up on the way home. Then i go to look at my sushi I order crunches on top no crunches on top. I gave a call back to let her know her response Well they are free anyway. That isn't the point that what I ordered. Terrible customer service and they think its acceptable because people will still spend money with them.It shows very poor practice of customer customer and I'm very disgusted by how they handle the situation because they already received my money. Im a business owner and I' very big on customer service. t I wont return and the sushi isn't all that great its ok. I had wayyyyy better...
