Today, 6-21-24, was my first time for my boyfriend and I to try them out. It was one of the worst experiences I have ever had for a new restaurant. We got there about 10 am. Was greeted and brought to a table. She haded us our menu and said someone would be there shortly. We sat there for awhile and looking around, I see the servers hiding from view and the manager is just walking around like a deer in the head lights. The guests were sitting looking around for a server. Finally, a server was talking to the table next to us and soon after, she acknowledged us. She said her name was Ally and asked what we wanted to drink and she said have you ever been here before? She asked if we wanted a menu overview or if we wanted to order. After waiting there about 10 minutes while the servers were walking by or going to the back with no one near by. I wanted to order. We ordered our meal and I ordered a mocha latte. We finally got served our drinks, the drink didn't have the mocha and there was so much ice and whip cream, I had like three sips and it was left over ice. The food was super bland. We got the biscuit with eggs, bacon and suppose to have laddles of gravy with sausage. Nope. The potato's had no season, the biscuit was big and ok, but the eggs and bacon had no flavor until I put tons of pepper and salsa on it to just get a better taste. There wasn't laddles of gravy and a only a few specks of sausage on it. We got the food fast and noticed the next table was there way before us and she just started to get their order. Ally finally came back and asked if the food tasted good? I said, it's alright. She then apologized for the wait. We ate, sat there as the next table finally got their food. We sat there waiting and finally she came back and asked for a to go box and gave us the check and said no rush. Came back about 5min and asked how was everything? I was blunt and told her the food was bland and I could have made it better tasting at home. Ally chuckled and said yeah, nothing's better then a home cooked meal. I told her it was edible, but this coffee was all ice and whip cream without any mocha drizzle on top. She said, oh, my manager made it, if I made it, It would have been made good. She apologized about the experience and said she would make sure it was better next time. I told her thank you and it's ok. These managers need to teach their staff how to serve people, but the manager I seen was just walking by the desk and just staring out in space some where. Meanwhile, three more people came in, the servers were no where and it wasn't even that busy. It's so sad that people now a days have a horrible work ethic. We will not be back. Save your time and go to the Golden Biscuit or The Apple Barrel, you'll have a better experience and a...
Read moreWe usually love Big Biscuit but had a very frustrating experience the last two time we had a party of 6. The first time was my birthday breakfast, and we had 6 adults. They tried to put some tables together and didn't even seem to recognize that, once we sat down, the two people at the end were hanging off the edge. It was not handled well by the manager then but we let it go because they got us a different table.
We had a very similar experience yesterday for breakfast. I had added us to the waitlist before arriving and it was the same party of 6. They texted us that the table was ready after 30 minutes of waiting and when we walked up the manager asked if we could do the high tops but she can't push the tables together? Why would a party of 6 want to sit divided? It's really not THAT large of a group. I'm also very pregnant and my parents can't do the high top. When we said no the manager snapped and said, "well it's gonna be at least another 15 minutes then." She had a very rude look on her face and an attitude. I don't know what her name was but she appears to be the manager. She was wearing a white and black striped vest and has dark hair. This is the second time she's acted inconvenienced by our 6 top. After our interaction I was complaining while we sat and waited again (going on 40 minutes). I think the other host heard me and was very polite when seating us.
Our waitress service was okay. She was also kind of rude. When my husband was attempting to order she was cutting him off to ask what he wanted for sides even though he was actively saying what he wanted. She only did it to him. As we were finishing up she asked us 3 times if we needed boxes. She also brought us the check and said no rush multiple times but it seemed like we were being rushed.
Just some advice for staff and management... your job is a working at a breakfast place. Please don't act inconvenienced by a 6 top wanting some breakfast like everybody else. I have seen tables of 10+ being seated. As someone who used to work in food, this service was absolutely...
Read moreUnfortunately i will not be returning to this eatery, when you walk in you may mistake the place for a BBQ joint due to the interior but you are in the right place. Sitting down you are left with the menus which where sticky and clinging to eachother like magnets, you will then order and be told you arent allowed to substitute anything on the menu which isnt a good look for a breakfast place this aswell as the 2-3 dollar up-charge for gravey, extra biscuts, butter or anything really and that leads us on to the price for me and my family of 4 it was 85 DOLLARS and we got nothing but base meals and drinks with no substitutes. These said meals where subpar not anything awful but probably the most flavorless things we have ever had and for some reason everything was wet like it had been washed off like silverware? And the place doesnt know what scattering hashbrowns mean they just kept coming out in a premade log and just as wet as everything else...When addressed about any of this our waitress was completey nonchalant and just shrugged, i dont wouldn't want her fired or anything but maybe waiting tables arent for her if she cant take simple request or even put on a smile. Take my advice and just go to wafflehouse or cracker barrel if you dont want to spend 5 dollars on a orange juice that doesnt have refills. I should have known when i didnt see anyone over the age of 30 in the place, say what you want about the older generations but they...
