McDonald's — Restaurant in Owatonna

If I could give this experience a 0 star rating I would. From the time we pulled up and asked for a kid sized cone the tone was set. The women on the headset responded with a harsh tone and seemed annoyed that she had to tell us they don't have them. I don't eat fast food there very often and in the summer I recall us getting them. She tried to rush us through our order while we are asking our children what they would like. Her attitude kept our order to a minimum so we ordered our kids hashbrowns and left. Upon pulling up to the drive up window the lady seemed unable to multitask and looked frustrated. My wife asked for a receipt and she seemed offended and responded by rudely and sarcastically stating I ALWAYS give my customer receipts. I manage a business myself and I would never treat my customers the way I was treated. We mentioned it to a manager and the women I instantly retaliated with an attack of we were rude first. New building - new issues. I was finished with this place after a long history of but with a new remodel I figured I would five it a try. Food I received tasted as expected but the drive through service was poor. I asked for a glass a water of which they charged me 30¢, when I clarified that I just wanted a courtesy cup of water she said that was what she put. Then she totaled the order gave me a total and told me to drive ahead. This is where it got frustrating, It took me several attempts to get ahold of her again to ask she remove the cup charge. I am not against cup charges if your upfront with it. But please stop assuming the customer knows and is automatically ok with it when they ask for a courtesy cup. Then I asked her to removed the water she agreed and the line when dead, I had to again ask several time this time almost yelling inorder to get the new total. All totaled I went from looking forward to my meal to being frustrated with my experience and viewing my meal as incomplete. Brand new inside and outside. Modern Architecture, clean grey and steele bathrooms. They have self ordering kiosks that are very simple and you can see so many more options than ordering from the cashier. You can pay at the kiosk with a card, or choose to pay the cashier with cash or card. Whether eating in or carrying out, you take a table number stand and have seat and they hand deliver your meal so you can relax and not have to stand at the checkout frantically listening for a number to be screamed out. They are currently playing modern, 20 somethings gentle rock, it's loud enough to make out the lyrics over the restaurant noises and people talking, not too loud though. I ordered a quarter pounder with cheese meal and was able to customise my entire order on the kiosk, it came to my table just as ordered and the new fresh beef patties are delicious and taste like real meat!
