McDonald's — Restaurant in Owensboro

This McDonald's is the worst McDonald's in Owensboro. As a matter of fact, this is easily THE WORST MCDONALD'S I have ever visited in my life. We live within walking distance of this particular location, but most of the time we get in our car and drive to the South end of Frederica to go to the one at Town Square North. It is faster to go down there and get our order and get home than it is to drive across the street and get our order and get home. 9 out of 10 times the Wesleyan Park Plaza location gets our order wrong. Yesterday I went to buy my daughter a large fry and a drink. I went inside because the drive-thru line was extremely long, wrapped around the restaurant. This was at approximately 2 in the afternoon, so there was no lunch rush, and no real explanation other than shoddy customer service. It took 20 minutes for someone to give me a large fry in a bag and a cup so I could go fill up a drink for her. That is completely unacceptable, no apology and I have learned not to expect one here. Once in awhile someone is kind and apologizes for our wait sincerely. Those people never last at McDonald's and I can understand why. It is so poorly run that their turnover is ridiculous. Before the renovation, I used to be amazed at how quickly I was able to get through the drive-thru with my order. Pre- renovation, our order was usually correct. If it was not correct there was a sincere apology and usually some kind of coupon that we didn't even ask for. There's a woman who used to work the drive-thru that I looked forward to seeing, because she was extremely friendly and upbeat. She didn't need to take extra time to be kind; that was just her natural demeanor. Sadly I've not seen her there in several months. Now, Occasionally somebody will throw over their shoulder, "Sorry about your wait," but they tack it onto the end of the sentence. They say it in the same bored, aggravated tone of voice as, "Would you like fries with that?" because they say it to nearly every single person. I am not unique with the waiting situation and the messed up orders. Everyone I have spoken with says that they hate it since the renovation even though it looks nicer inside, customer service has gone down the toilet. This is the best McDonalds in Owensboro, no question about it! I stop here nearly every morning before work for a caramel frappe and a blueberry muffin. The food is always fresh and hot, the frappe frozen and delicious, and the morning staff are some of the nicest women I have ever encountered at a fast food establishment. Each day I pull through the drive thru, I am greeted with a sincere hello and a prior to pulling away, a sincere goodbye. You can tell that they are clearly happy despite the fact that they are at work. They are also quite competent at this location. In fact, my order has only been wrong only 1 time out of at least 100 visits; saving me time and the frustration that comes along with those instances. When the order mix up occurred, the staff and the manager on duty were gracious, apologetic and very quick to right the wrong by making my order priority number 1. Despite the store being busy, I was literally in and out again in less than 5 minutes. This location seems to be the busiest McDonalds in town, the drive thru is always lined with cars wrapping around the building. However, don't let the line scare you away. I assure you that they are super quick to get through the traffic and the longest I have ever waited in line from start to finish was 15 minutes (on that day, I entered a line that began nearly at it's end, with aprox. 20 vehicles in line before me). Been there 3 times in the past week and our orders have been wrong every time, was in drive thru and the woman handing my food was rude while I was checking it to make sure it was right and kept giving me dirty looks. They forgot all my fries and chocolate milk. Date was 11/30/2022 between 6 and 7:30pm. Went in and I asked to talk to a manager a man walked up and was very rude from the start, he pointed his finger at me and told me to not come at him with attitude when in fact I wasn't even customers behind me was talking to me about how rude he was to me when he demanded while pointing his finger at me to say please and thank you before handing my food to me, he then called me the B word as I was walking out in which another customer came out to let me know, i am always polite when ordering my food saying yes ma'am or sir but when I order 40 dollars worth of food and get all the way home and I have no fries or the chocolate milk yeah im going to be aggervated and upset.
