Edit: While making this a go to place for food lately, because it is actually really super good, ordering takeout I notice the portion sizes are different a lot. Sometimes while ordering a large fattoush salad we get a half of a salad (once we got a quarter). Or a large baba ganoush we get a half of a baba ganoush. Other times it's actually a full order of both. or maybe a full of one item and half of another. And next time we go both items are cut in half from the last time we went. It makes it really hard to rely on takeout for the household because we never know how big or small the portions will be. Still keeping review 5 stars though because staff is so friendly and food is so yummy. Just wish we had a heads up of how much food we are getting for the price. And just for clarity we always order/ask for the "large size" so we aren't ever asking for smaller on both of those items.
Just had the best meal here, and I mean so extremely good! I can't believe it took us this long to try this place but I'm regretting we didn't come sooner. We had a fattoush salad first and I was thinking wow this is a really good salad! The dressing is so yummy and the veggies are so fresh! Then we spilt 2 sandwiches, a falafel and a chicken shawarma and they were both so good! But the best thing is they have the very best baba ganoush I think I've ever had in my freaking life. And when I say this I'm really mean it! baba ganoush is one of my favorite things and I've had it at a lot of different places, even authentic homemade, and this was so beyond delicious that I almost wanna go back for more when they open in the morning. And then every day after that! Also the guy that took our order was super friendly. Please try this place, you will not regret it. It's the best middle eastern food I've eaten in years. I will definitely be back often. Thank you for a super delicious meal!...
Read moreWhat a refreshing change. The food here is extremely flavorful and the portions are generous enough to get at least two meals out of it. The price is high per entree, but so far, with the quality and portion size I am more than willing to pay it. We can get 2 meals out of each entree, and probably more if the food didn't taste so good that you hate to split up the portions... I recommend trying their chicken shawarma sandwich--I don't know what they do differently from other places, but it has a certain burst of flavor that makes it stand out from your standard shawarma. One unfortunate issue that we've experienced every time we ordered: missing items! One order was missing a soup, another time we were missing the free pita bread included with orders. And yeah it's free, but it's a bit of a bummer when you're expecting it and it's not there, lol. It's not a big deal (we didn't care enough to call about the soups) but maybe they need a better system for making sure everything's in the bags. It would also be nice if they had an online ordering system instead of phone calls, but I don't think they have a website. Overall though, we are planning to add this to our weekly rotation for as long as the quality & portions stay...
Read moreWe ordered two Chicken Schawarma entrees, soup, fatoush salad, carrot juice, and a smoothie. The soup never came and I had to go to the counter to get the guy's attention as he was watching Netflix on the TV. We were the only people in the restaurant. The lemon rice soup was extremely bland and I couldn't taste any lemon in it whatsoever. The chicken schawarma was just so-so (Anita's Kitchen's version is far superior). I had nothing to drink because it took until I was almost finished eating before I got my carrot juice. We were with our four year old and the guy at the counter put on an R rated violent film on Netflix. But what sealed the deal for me that I will never return to this restaurant was the bathroom. It was disgusting (even worse than a gas station bathroom). The toilet looked like it had never been cleaned. The walls and floor were filthy and the faucet was dirty. Seeing that made me nervous about what the kitchen must look like. I was seriously worried we would come home with food poisoning. We'll stick with Anita's Kitchen, which appears to have much higher standards. Now I'm going to look up their health...
