Now Iâm not quick to complain about a service. With my baby being sick I didnât want to bring him out and about so I had someone pick my order up that I placed. When I got my food (a salad), the dressing was wrong. Now I could have eaten it yes but instead I called them. The manager on duty got defensive and said I would have to bring the product back or come get the dressing the same night. I said I canât bring him out maâam. I can bring it back tmar bc please believe I do not want this. She gets an attitude and proceeds to hand the phone to another manager named Tyler. He said this is the policy (but we close in 5 min). So I begged my sister to watch my sick baby and proceeded to go back. I said I either want a remake or my money back bc if thatâs the rule and what not who am I to argue with these folks. So I head that way and call to let them know. They said well we close in a minute so we canât help you. And I have screenshots of the times I called so even tho they were pressed for me to come they still wasted my time and were too happy to deny me getting my order correct. I know how it can be and I know ppl make mistakes. I wasnât mad about that I was mad how the situation was handled and how happy they were to be rude. Iâve never had an issue with them before, I simply wanted that being Iâve been dealing with a sick child all week. I just wanted others to know my experience since they were so quick to not try to be helpful (even with me being more than happy to oblige to bringing it back). Iâve never had an issue with the team members or managers there but tonight really showed the lack of care. I reached out to the location in hopes of someone contacting me soon. I give it a fair three stars âď¸ bc the quality of the food is good. And this was the only bad experience Iâve had- the rest have been pretty good. Food is hot on time etc. Just tonight was really subpar and they dropped the ball. So you may be taking a gamble...
Read moreMy children attend Ole Miss, so whenever we're in town we tend to almost always go to Oby's. Today was a "not so pleasant" visit that has probably lead to me and my family never returning. The cashier was phenomenal as always, and it didn't take long for our food to come out. The server; however, made me feel like she didn't want me, my family, or "my kind" there. Food was delivered to my table by the food runner, but I had to retrieve my own silverware and napkins. That was a first. The booth in front of me and behind me were both white families. I sat quietly as our server asked both families several times if their food was okay and if they needed anything while passing by my booth, looking me in the face, and not saying a word. They also didn't have to retrieve their own untensils and napkins. The first and second time she passed by and didn't say anything may have been a coincidence, but the next few times were intentional. Needless to say that young lady's behavior made me feel uncomfortable. Rather than be confrontational, I opted to leave because it's 2025 and people shouldn't behave like that anymore. To make matters worse, the manager acted and sounded like he didn't care and condoned his server's behavior. The decision to never return sucks because this incident was the first, but I refuse to patronize any business where race determines what type of service...
Read moreAfter hearing about Obyâs for weeks, I finally decided to see what the hype was about. Placed an order online on 11/14. When I got there to pay and pick up my food I immediately noticed that instead of greeting me, asking if I could be assisted, or even the hint of friendliness the front counter stay were more interested in conversing with each other instead. The ones who did take notice of me only did so to look me up and down and look at me disdainfully. I get it, sometimes we have a bad shift working customer service, I have them myself, but thereâs no reason for the attitudes. I could have somewhat overlooked that id the food had of been up to par. My crawfish poppy wasnât great. The crawfish was over cooked to a criminal degree but still managed to be cold. My partnerâs catfish poboy wasnât much better either. The fries? No salt, half of them so soggy I thought they were mashed potatoes and the other half so hard you couldnât chew them. Ridiculous. The only reason Iâm giving a 2/5 is because of the sheer size of the menu and the fact that despite being severely over cooked the crawfish was actually seasoned well. Iâm very disappointed. Maybe Iâll be able to talk myself into giving it another go in a few weeks, but I highly doubt it between the HORRIBLE customer service and the...
