I have been ordering this place for a couple of years now because it's really the only place around that delivers besides Dominos. In the beginning, they seemed to provide decent food (although overpriced) so I kept going back. Recently, I had ordered several items such as a chicken cheese-steak, chicken parm. sandwich, and a cheeseburger platter. On some occasions, when I received the chicken cheese-steak, it was clearly burnt (no way the cook didn't see that but decided to serve it anyway). Since it was just the cheese-steak, the next several times I ordered, I didn't order that item (I ordered a regular cheese-steak instead). Minus a few burnt pieces, the cheese-steaks weren't horrible but wasn't thrilled about having to throw a portion of the meat in the sandwich away. However, tonight I ordered a chicken cheese-steak, a chicken parm. grinder, and a cheeseburger. I got about halfway through the burger until I bit into a piece that tasted funny. I thought, "it happens" so I took another bite. Accompanied by the additional bite was a disturbing odor so I decided to spit it out and try a piece of something else. I opened up the chicken parm. box only to be over powered by a nasty greasy burnt smell (have you ever fried chicken and left the grease in the pan all day and came back and smelled it?) that's basically what it smelled like. I looked at the chicken on the sandwich and it was clearly burnt. You can't cover all that burnt chicken with cheese and sauce (sorry, "cook"). Disgusted, I then opened up the cheese-steak box to see how "well" they prepared that sandwich. As expected, I opened the box and smelled the same odor and saw that about 1/3 of the steak in the sandwich was charred and uneatable. A few minutes later, I started to feel nauseated. I am now fighting the urge to vomit the pieces of cheeseburger I had eaten. I have tried to talk to the manager in the past about similar, but not as severe, issues with my food. Much to my dismay, the manager became defensive when I tried to explain what was wrong with my food. I kept ordering knowing that if it got too bad, I'd simply no longer give them my business. Needless to say, this is the straw that has broke the camel's back for me. I am through with this "restaurant." Perhaps if they read this they will take steps to rectify their issues but as for me continuing to overpay for this...
Read moreI enjoyed an excellent lunch here with my nephew recently. We had been running some errands over the last couple of hours up in Lancaster and were making our way back towards Jennersville and he suggested we go there because his dad liked it. If my brother likes it I'm willing to give it a shot.
We arrived well after the lunch rush, I think it was around 1:50pm. A quick look around the dining area which was like two small rooms on either side of the front door reminded me of a retro European bistro. There was only one table occupied as we entered the small establishment and walked up to the counter. I quickly scanned the large chalkboard behind and then we each ordered 2 slices of pepperoni pizza with a soda. Price came out to just over $6 each. Not bad at all.
From we grabbed a seat in the corner and waited for our food to arrive. Less than 10 minutes later the lady that took our order brought the huge slices out and also dropped off shakers full of parmesan cheese and oregano. The slices were served on a steak platter and covered from edge to edge with pepperoni. They were a little greasy but not to bad. The grease ran right off the slice and onto the plate. The dough was fresh, thin and very crispy. I really enjoyed these slices and I was thinking of different pizza combinations I could try in the future.
We were in and out in about 30 minutes. An excellent experience and the server also gave me a carry out menu that had some coupons in it for future...
Read moreTrying not to act out of haste and anger I have held onto this review for a few weeks but it needs to be said Never again, I just paid $11.70 for the most embarrassing display of take out I have ever seen. Granted I did order it from the appetizer portion of the menu, but there are 2, no meat (menu says it's supposed have chicken in it) they were under cooked dough was chewy and the middle was cold, served with dressing I have in my fridge. The only thing keeping me from 1 star was the young lady that took my payment was friendly and smiling. If you're charging this much for 2 Southwestern Egg Rolls they should be at the very least warm in the middle. I can go to Chili's and get a whole sampler for 14$ with 4 egg rolls, 2 sliders, and buffalo chicken bites and a drink. SMH I used to recommend this place for a quick hot...
