El Asador Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Lower Oxford Township

For a new restaurant this place looks sad it’s basically the old buffet with some cheap decorations hanging from the ceiling. The place is clean and that’s about it. Salsa came from a jar chips were decent. Beans were canned ground beef had less flavor than taco bell tostada was a joke as was the burrito. $4 for a soft drink $16 for taco bell level combos all with ground beef all fish dishes are close or over $20 for Tilapia. Hell even the knife I was given to cut my food was old and wooden half falling apart. I want this place to succeed but at these prices and quality they won’t survive to next year. I can get great tacos from the food truck a stones throw away for 2-3.50 each you offer 3 ground beef for $14? I suggest management try La Peña or taqueria moreleon or riviera maya and see what changes they can make to improve. Some of the grilled dishes look great but...

We checked this place out after hearing a few good reviews from friends. It still looks like the Panda Buffet inside. The place is BYOB, which I at first groaned about. Seeing it as an opportunity, we went across the road to the Fine Wine and Spirits liquor store and bought a bottle of tequila. The restaurant provides all the ingredients for the margarita, and you add your own tequila. I have to say, these were the best margaritas I've ever had and you can make them as strong as you want. The food was also great. Large portions and very tasty. Prices are reasonable. Our server didn't speak much english, but he got the job done. We will definitely be going back. 5/1/24 update-staff accommodated our party of 13 to celebrate a 21st bday. Everything was delicious and wonderful!

We saw the grand opening sign and had to come check it out. Service was great, place was nice and clean. Their salsa and chips were great. My daughter had a chicken quesadilla ala cart and said it was great. I had a chimichanga platter with 3 pieces (the chicken and shredded beef were great, the shrimp was 90%greasy fried onions) came with a big side or rice and beans. my husband loved his platter, chicken with grilled shrimp with a sauce and cheese.
