Hunan Garden was a great surprise!!!

If you want a nice, super good food and really good price, this is the place!

Affordable, plenty of flavor, abundant portions ⭐️

We (2 adults + 1 kid) went to Oxnard for a waterpolo tournament, in between games we had a window for have some food, we look the reviews and we said “Let’s try it” Because it was weekend they have a “Weekend and Holiday Menu” 3 options each one with around 5 dishes to select the prices from $8+10+ less than $12 ….. Omg it was delicious!!! 😋 they brought some really crunchy and tasty chips with sour&sweet aside, then a soup🍜 uffff the broth and wontons were AMAZING!!!! And then our main dishes!!!! The 3 we ordered each one was RRREEEAAALYYYYY GOOD! Taste super good, warm, so well prepared and served. The service beside that Sunday they were short staff, they made a great effort and were super kindly. Definitely will come back!!!!

We have been eating at this restaurant for years. My mother, adult daughter, 2 nieces and I went yesterday. 3 adults and 2 children. We were given a small plate of crispy noodles. When we asked for more noodles we were told by the waitress that it would be $2 more, my mom chuckled but agreed to the charge. My mom requested chilie oil and was advised it would be an additional .50 cent charge. OK that's fine. There were no condiments or seasonings on the table. We ate our food, and then ordered a medium egg flower soup to go. When we received our check there was an added gratuity. We wondered why? Then we read the back of the menu, it said 15% gratuity for MORE THEN 5. We were 5 not over. The owner became very agitated when we asked her to remove the charge. She counted how many of us were present and she removed the gratuity. She was rude the entire time we were there. It seemed like she was bothered by our presence. I always rave about this place well tonight is the last time I will go here . I ordered to go and the lady did not go over and check the order with me . She has the bag tied up to the point if I want to open it. I would have to rip the bag open . I drive home ( I live in Ventura I make the drive for the egg flour soup alone) I get home my large egg flour soup is not in the bag.im so mad I had to drive all the way back and she just says here you go no sorry no extra anything for my trouble. I ask for the dry crunchy noodles this lady tells me they are 2 something. I flipped out like you messed up my order and I had to drive back from Ventura and expecting me to pay for them for those. I told her next time go over the order with your customer so they don't have to make drives back her response . We do we were just busy .
