So I have never had an omelet, and wanted to try one today fir the first time, but still have some pancakes. To my surprise, the steak omelet was HUGE, but delicious. However, the pancakes were not. I coukd easily tell they had been sitting out for some time as the edges were hard and stale, there were green and black spots of I don't know what on them, presumably from other stuff touching them, and the pancakes were lukewarm at best - the butter wouldn't even melt. Considering I was looking forward to the pancakes the most as I don't eat them very often, AND this restaurant has Pancakes literally in its name, I believe they could have done much better. But, the omelet half-way made up for it. In contrast, the interior of the omelet was scorching hot! And of course, I appreciate any restaurant that serves Pepsi instead of coke. The server was attentive, checked on me a few times, and gave me a to go cup fir my drink. Despite it being nearly packed full of customers, I was surprised to receive my omelet within 5 minutes of ordering it!
The pricing was much too high, however. I could have gotten a better plate of pancakes and paid a lot less at Dennys.
If I were to give IHOP any advice, it would be to desperately overhaul how they make and deliver their pancakes. They should be fresh, fluffy- not with stale edges, and hot enough to melt the butter dollop...
Read moreI drive from Santa Barbara in the morning so I can not place the order online they make the food fast. I’m not giving them a one star because of the food, but for the restaurant manager and the girl who answers the phone. I have to make a phone call while I’m driving and honestly I never want to do that. The girl asked me multiple times for my name then she said she could not hear me but when I asked for the manager she heard me right away. This naturally upset me and then I was on hold for 3-4 minutes again while driving that was not cool omg it just so happend during this moment a car in the fast lane came about 2 or 3 feet into my lane I’m in the middle lane like very close to causing an accident going 65 scary. Then when the manager finally did answer the phone I asked him then if I could place one order and he laughed. I think it’s very unprofessional due to the circumstances of everything. Not only did I use to call every single Sunday until one day they just stopped answering so I stopped going to ihop and went to Dennys down the street. This morning dennys did not answer the phone I called twice again while driving smh 🤦♂️ this was me having the phone ring for a few minutes with no answer . That’s going to be my next review. Safe to say I will be going to other places not...
Read moreIHOP has carved out its place as America’s go-to destination for all-day breakfast, and it’s easy to see why. With its classic diner vibe, bottomless coffee, and expansive menu, IHOP delivers cozy comfort food that hits the spot — whether it’s 8 a.m. or midnight.
The star of the show? The pancakes, of course. Fluffy, buttery, and served with a rotating cast of syrups, they’re every bit as indulgent as you remember. But IHOP goes beyond breakfast — from hearty omelets and crispy hash browns to burgers and chicken-fried steak, the menu has something for every craving. Their seasonal specials keep things interesting, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming.
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for families, post-club brunches, or solo coffee-and-waffle moments. The prices are reasonable, and the value meals make it easy to get full without breaking the bank.
If there’s one hiccup, it’s the customer service — which can be hit or miss depending on the location and time of day. Sometimes you’re greeted with warm smiles and quick refills; other times, the service feels slow or slightly inattentive. Still, the food is consistent enough to make up for the occasional lapse.
IHOP isn’t fancy, but it’s familiar, satisfying, and always open when you...
