Gordos Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Oxnard

I was on a time crunch and I needed to get a gift card for my son’s team basket for opening day at the El Rio Little League. I had called another of my favorite tacos trucks to see if they offer gift cards as I wanted the card to be something local and own by local Oxnard residents, I called and I had not luck as they did not offer gift cards or anything that I could give to others as a gift. I then thought of Gordos and I gave them a call and they were willing to work around also not having physical gift cards and were kind enough to make up a “gift certificate” on the spot and added a free had on top of that. Which made me realize that customer service goes a long way. The first taco truck, didn’t bother to work around the issue of not having gift cards but Gordos was willing to do it without a second thought.

That is what customers service is all about. Being able to think outside of the box and have customers walking out the door with plans to come back for more.

The place is also very nice and it’s a perfect location to get some chicken!

I’ve had the sliders and they’re absolutely delicious with extra sauce. Next on the to try list will be the gordo fries.

First of all the collaboration between the funnel cake truck and the hot chicken is a perfect match! I order my hot chicken sandwiches and then I order my funnel cakes since and they are usually ready at the same time. They have buzzers so I can actually wait in my car while my food is being made or sometimes I sit in my chair. They offer phone orders and you can find their number on their google page. The chicken is crispy and juicy just like at their original location and the Mac and cheese is always on point but when they sell out I do get sad which is why I always try to be there early. I love the pineapple coleslaw and the sauce is perfect. Parking is easy and getting in and out...

First of all I have a lot of good things to say. I drive there to get my fix. The crispy chicken always pairs good with the delicious mac and cheese when I order the Gordo Fries. They add the perfect spice just to the point where it’s spicy but adds that extra flavor. The fries are nice and crispy and the seasoning is just bomb, I can say not that many places have this good of food. They tend to run out of mac and cheese fast so I always go early around 6 or 7, but when they do run out I get sad, but the delicious Gordo Sauce always does justice. But with all that said I love the atmosphere the cashier is always nice and respectful and is always checking up with me. Best Hot...
