Pacifica is a very small town I'm not too familiar with which side of Pacifica is the original but for the most part Pacifica is not too many breakfast places at least I don't know of any other ones didn't want to go to McDonald's and get their horrible breakfast I usually don't like having breakfast and little downtowns because they tend to be way overpriced and I'm pretty sure Pacifica is a tourist town anyways I tried this breakfast place out very good reviews when I got there you had to order ahead of time before you sat down which is a little weird for breakfast but whatever not a big deal I noticed everything on the menu was very expensive I've been to Carmel and I get why the breakfast was expensive but this is just Pacifica yes the views are amazing but it's not a destination for most people who aren't from the bay area so I really don't understand why it's so expensive I'm going to assume because this is like I said it's a small town so they have to make their profit somehow but the place was packed with people so I had to give it a shot I just wanted simple eggs bacon and potatoes and some toast and black coffee the bacon was okay A little soggy in some places but at least they didn't put it in the deep fryer like most restaurants do the eggs were perfectly over easy and my only critique as the eggs head zero to none seasoning the hash browns had zero to none seasoning and the potatoes tasted very waterlogged I'm pretty sure it's just shredded Frozen potatoes and they probably defrosted it outside of the bag which is the wrong way to do it I'm giving this place two stars because the prices were a little outrageous and my breakfast was mediocre but it was cool that if you get black coffee you're allowed to have as many cups as you like one is enough for me the cashier the server and everybody else who work that was very friendly and welcoming definitely appreciate that thank you for taking the time to read my review

“This chicken tastes like it was just decapitated!” -words of my daughter. My husband, our 2 kiddos, my daughters best friend and I stayed in half moon bay to celebrate my daughters 13th birthday. We spent 2 days walking and playing on the beach. We lived on snacks, sandwiches and laughs! As we were headed home, we all needed a real meal. When we walked in I was skeptical because we order at the counter and the only spot was in direct sun. There was a man sitting in the booth nearby who I could tell immediately was either the manager or the owner. WELL, boss man had all the answers. He immediately asked someone to put up the shades for us so I was happy! The woman who took out order was super friendly and helped me decide lunch over breakfast. Good thing! It was actually the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. I shared bites with the kids because it was an ENORMOUS piece of fish. They were obsessed. Also amazing fries! The husband had biscuits and gravy and I swear I could have just drank it. So so good with the mushrooms!!! It was super funny that the boss sat next to us most of the time. He laughed about my daughter’s comment on the chicken “strips”. Thanks for making our meal so great!

Oh man... I wanted the love this place. Great reviews I read and wanted to try a Monte Christo for the 1st time. I got a Egg Benedict and Country Fried Steak as well. Unfortunately it all fell short, the Monte was very bready for the most part, dry meat, extremely carb heavy, and kinda salty. The Egg Benedict was barely poached, too much bread base per size of ham to egg ratio. The Chicken fried steak was thin, but white sauce was pretty good and even had mushrooms in sauce. The workers are friendly is the only reason I gave 2 stars (means for me never go again still). How competitive the bay area is for breakfast falls kinda short. I would enjoy Denny's about the same except they have much more open hours. For the price of over $50+ I could have ate else where and had a better breakfast.

I normally love this hidden gem of a classic diner restaurant on the water, and I often take visiting friends and family here. Today, unfortunately, I experienced a nasty experience with a man who turned out to be the owner, who scolded me for trying to sit down at a table to look at the menu before ordering (yes, I wrote that correctly). Another friendly employee said my friend and I were welcome to do so to decide what to order, then an old burly man comes up out of nowhere and starts harassing me about wanting to sit down to look at the menu. I kindly and respectfully told him that I was given permission to sit and that this didn't concern him (I assumed he was disgruntled local in a bad mood at a nearby table), but the guy would not back down... Rather insane behavior if I'm being honest. We ended up sitting at a nice table under the sun after ordering and the man comes up and tries to be funny by saying, "see, it worked out better in the end for you" without apologizing for his gross demeanor. I also overheard him scolding the employee who allowed us to sit to look at the menu without his permission in the back. I feel awful for anyone working under this...
