Cafe-Bakery O Pain Joyeux — Restaurant in Pahrump

I initially came here to try out their wifi, as I had a 20 minute video to upload which was going to take three hours at Starbucks in Pahrump, and their wifi is so good here it literally took five minutes. However, when I saw their delicious pastries I was in heaven. I'm from the UK and finding a place with fruit tarts and other delicious choices is a rarity in the US and the aroma of fresh baked bread when you walk in wakens the senses. I almost wish I lived in Pahrump just for this, though I fear my middle aged spread would widen even more if I did live here. This place is absolutely a culinary dream! They make everything from scratch, and it shows. I ordered the Capri sandwich, which was out of this world, especially on their homemade bread. As someone who went to culinary school, I can confidently say this is a gem that anyone who loves a good French bakery needs to visit. The staff is amazing—super friendly and attentive. The place is spotless, the prices are fair, and you can feel the positive energy from all the happy customers. Their dessert selection is completely out of this world! Sorry. Think I may be done with this bakery after so many years as a patron. Prices are now outrageous for this small community. I ordered to go: 3 raisin rolls (which were stale per 3 people the next morning), a fruit tart, and a slice of Royale cake (now a tiny portion and a different recipe), and those 5 items were $28. I always recommend this place to out of towners, but the owners don't seem to be in the store anymore and the atmosphere has turned less friendly than I remember when they first opened.
