I will chalk my experience up to COVID, but really it’s a mix of culture, disorganization, and piss poor laws governing the the regulations and implementation of COVID safety procedures, after a brief wait we were motioned in by what I can only assume was the cook for lack of better terminology, they have an open grill in which cooks are free to interact with the customers, Laws dictating max occupancy were well understood without any formal explanation although it was clearly posted upon arrival, we made our way to our booth as we were watching a young man depart from his seat, plenty of room for two. In all honesty I had not made an official head count to see if 2 people (my self and a gorgeous young lady with me) would be acceptable for COVID seating, like most people I assumed the non-official hand gesture from the cook was my “your good to go”. Boy was I wrong, upon taking our seats we were scolded like dogs who had just got into tonights dinner, in all honesty I just turned 40 and have never been addressed and treated like that in a restaurant, the pai gow table 15 feet away heard it for Christ sake and it was a very busy Saturday night, lol. Anyways we were quickly ushered back to the waiting area for about a min., we were directed to our table by a server who I’m sure had an actual head count for COVID acceptability, meal was good, service was ok, considering I was dealing with the very same lady who treated us with a very prompt and swift get the hell out attitude. Steaming from my earlier encounter I had a few choice words for my server, nothing profane, and omg it was a very similar looking waitress who had taken over my table without any pass over, poor girl had no idea why I was even upset, moral of the story is service can be your one weak link, service was sub par and after considering your reviews I have spotted your weak link, service! I have been to establishments that quality and quality didn’t meet or exceed expectations but the quickest way to motivate me to post a review is to forget that the customer is often visiting for an experience, service...
Read moreOur dining experience couldn’t of been worse. It started when we received our food and a plate was so spicy, no one at the table could eat it. We asked if either they could remake it, or if we could get something different. The waitress seemed annoyed and when she came back to our table she had the Chef with her. The first thing out of his mouth was “that’s the way we make it here and if you want something else, you’ll be charged for both plates. As this was a business dinner I politely downplayed the incident and just wanted to leave. That’s when the waitress came with the bill. Again telling me I would be “paying for the meal I didn’t eat”. Again I bit my tongue and handed her my card. Then she told me I needed to hand her my license as well with my card. I have been a victim of identity theft in the past and refused to hand over my card. They then threatened us with calling Security. So we got them ourselves to explain the situation to them, in case someone said we were running out on our bill. The security detail that showed up was a blessing. They were not only polite but extremely helpful of the situation. As it turns out, they only write down the last 4 numbers of your license in case someone commits card fraud. Listen, I get it. But had someone just explained that to me I would of gladly showed her my license instead of letting her run to the back of the restaurant with it. I don’t think I’ve ever had such a hostile staff at a restaurant. One of the Security officers even mentioned that they are always called to the restaurant because of “issues with the staff”. There is a reason this place only has 3...
Read moreI don't ever go out of my way to write reviews, however that is how disappointed I was with my experience. To begin, the layout of this establishment is nonsensical, you wait in line to be seated as if its a theme park amusement ride. There is hardly enough seating, if you have a party that exceeds four people, good luck. You'll be waiting a while. We sit down and I ask the staff how the seafood soup is, instead of giving me information she just writes it down and places it as my order. Staff did not seem knowledgeable on their menu, and were very inattentive. For example I had to wait 10 minutes for the waitress to grab sriracha sauce from the bucket directly behind her as she wandered around the service area. I got the seafood soup with rice noodles which had Lobster, Shrimp, and Scallops. The broth was abysmal, no flavor at all, it was essentially water. The rice noodles had the texture that insinuated they had been sitting out all day unheated. The shrimp were alright, but at the end of the day it's hard to screw up shrimp, most likely precooked and frozen anyways. However the lobster literally had no taste at all, I don't think I've ever consumed shellfish that tasted so bland in my 23 years of life. This was an $18 entrée mind you, I have had microwave ramen that has had more of a flavor profile than this horrendous dish, and mind you I don't have to stand in a theme park queue for 30 minutes and it's only 10% of the price. Absolutely unforgettable experience, for all the wrong reasons, you couldn't pay me to sit down and eat...
