It’s my first time here, the reason I choose this place because it’s closer to the casino, and I see the price perfect for my budget, that why I decided to book here. We drove all the way from Dallas TX to here for our July 4th vacation. I was really like it here I was thinking to come back here for Labor Day, but then a problem come up it made me disappointed already. The first day we check-in the front desk two guy yeah they nice they talk to my husband about my husband car, and they ask me to sign my name, so I did sign. And I think that probably is agree them charge for the room amount that why I sign, but I 🤞🏻I didn’t hear anything about the policy all u hear they say about the car because they ask my husband what kind the car my husband have they say yeah that car nice blah blah ……. That all we just go to the room rest because it been long date driving. So we go in the room we rest little we getting ready to go casino, we go casino till 4am in morning we came back to the room my husband we smoke vape, some how alarm on, and then the different lady in front desk come to up our room check she told us we can’t use vape, so she go turn off the alarm fill minute later she call up to our room she told us come down front desk because the policy is no smoking even using vape what no one told us about the vape, event that ok why the time we check in the room my husband did use the vape in the room and alarm not on till the time we back from casino the alarm on, so is there alarm problem too. smok the cigarettes is the once should cost problem, vape is fruit flavor have 💨 too then why alarm was on the first why the second time on…and even that too it shouldn’t charge customer $250, so the lady in front desk told us about the policy, and we told no once told us about that, she say all employee there been require tell customer about policy I 🤞🏻 to god no one told us about the vape if anyone told us we will not be stupid and smoke vape in the room for alarm on and for the charge $250, so I go back to the room wait still morning check out and ask to talk to the property manger, the different lady in front told me leave the information to them she will tell manger call us, ok so mangers call me and I told her about the situation, but the way she talk to customer not nice at all, I told her about no one told us about no vape in the room and why the alarm was not on when the time we check in early why on after we come back, she say we got lucky wtf because alarm was not on first time, so even not the smoke vape what if there 🔥 in the room early then alarm was not on so the customers get burn in there…? She say we got lucky alarm not on, and the policy no smoke cigarettes and vape. And I told her even that if front desk told customers about the policy then why on website didn’t say anything about policy too, she say they did have the policy on websit about no vape? I check the website I didn’t see anything about there policy if on there customer will saw and they will not be stupid about it…… I just don’t want talk anymore just hang up the phone but I think the hotel should do something about this situation because first they didn’t told customers about the policy when they check in, second is the alarm problem was not on when customers checkin, third put policy on website. Now I can see that there room price cheap but there other stuff charge is expensive $250 for alarm charge is more the the charge for the room one night wow …. Read moreAfter reading lots of reviews I decided to stay at Stonebrook in Cherokee, so we could take my son on the Polar Express. The hotel has a nice outward appeal and looked practically new, but on the 1st night there my grandmother noticed a bug crawling on a pillow. She actually caught it and the only thing we had near to place it in was a coffee cup. I took pictures of it on my cell and then we brought it to the front desk afraid it might have been a bed bug. We have never seen any before. Two evening staff were behind the counter and a woman who was infront (she claimed to work at a "sister site" and the man behind the counter was her boyfriend[ she also claimed to have worked in a hospital before and told us to let her see the bug] She said it was some sort of tick or chigger. Looking at us like we were stupid. She said, "you know you are around woods up here." She followed us back to our room and sprayed Lysol all over the bedding and curtains, and then left. We checked under the matresses and tossed pillows. Still feeling uneasy about everything we decided to go to sleep. We were only there for 2 nights. And now he has bite marks all over his body. We took him to the pediatrician to find out he has body lice. Sure enough showed him the pic and he verified thats what it was. From what I'm reading about this parasite it would be very easy to kill if the bedding had been properly washed and dried. Im now putting Rx creme all over his bumps. Please beware. I can look over alot of issues but paying for an accommodation where I am staying, much less my son, to come in contact with body lice isn't 1. I will never...
