All we can say is WOW! The service from beginning to end was flawless. The coated attendants were always near our table looking to answer any need. The food was remarkable and without compare. The cocktails were generous and fairly priced. As we walked out and briefly heard the entertainment we were impressed with the talent of the singer. The car valets were very nice and considerate. All in all it was a stellar evening with our friends. We will definitely be back again soon. No other restaurant that we frequent can compare to Chicago Prime Steakhouse. Kudos to the owner and all the wonderful employees.
UPDATE - January 23, 2023. Having had a wonderful experience on our last visit a few weeks ago with a group of friends, the two of us decided to go back tonight for a nice Monday evening dinner. We noticed on our first visit that the owner visited most every table but skipped our table of 12 with hardly a glance. Tonight the restaurant was about half full and the owner walked by our table at least six times without even looking at us, must less thanking us for coming in. He was fixated on welcoming other tables. To continue...our server was very attentive at first. I prefer my beef well done and expressed that at least twice when I ordered. Upon delivery of our dinners and cutting into the meat it was medium well. Not one employee, including ours, stopped by to see if our dinners were alright. After about a half hour, and my friend finished his dinner, the server finally stopped by and said it looked like I needed a box. I said, no I couldn't eat one bite because it wasn't well done and to take the meal off our bill. We will never go to this restaurant again. The insolence of the owner, plus the total disregard of our table by the server speaks loudly of the terrible place this is. We are friends with a former very successful restaurateur who always acknowledged every patron by stopping by their table, at least to welcome them, but also usually to thank them and make sure everything was pleasurable with their dinner. This place is terrible and we will never go back and spread the word to our friends and family to never patronize this...

âď¸âď¸âď¸âď¸â (4 out of 5 stars) We visited Chicago Prime Steakhouse on Fatherâs Day, and overall, it was a truly memorable and enjoyable experience. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed with the elegant and inviting atmosphere. It felt like the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, and it definitely lived up to the reputation.
The service was outstandingâprofessional, friendly, and very attentive. One of the highlights of the evening was that the owner himself stopped by our table to personally ask if everything was going well. That level of care and attention made us feel valued and appreciated, and it really elevated the experience.
We ordered a full spread that included two 24 oz Bone-In Ribeye Cowboy Cuts, one New York Strip Steak, burgers, wine, sodas, and for dessert, cheesecake. We also had appetizersâcalamari and Oysters Rockefellerâand both were absolutely amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. A fantastic way to start the meal.
The steaks were tender, juicy, and had excellent flavor. The Cowboy Cuts were cooked just right with beautiful marbling. However, they were served on top of a gravy or juice mixture that included rosemary. While the sauce was tasty, the rosemary was far too strong, and its overpowering aroma completely took away from the natural richness of the meat. With just a little more seasoning on the steak and by completely removing the rosemary, the dish would be truly amazing.
The burgers were the only other downsideâthe meat was a bit dry, which didnât match the high quality of the rest of the meal.
We ended our meal with cheesecake for dessert, and it was the perfect finishing touchârich, smooth, and satisfying.
Overall, it was a wonderful Fatherâs Day dinner filled with top-tier service, great food, and a classy ambiance. Just a couple of small adjustmentsâcompletely eliminate the rosemary, improve the burger moisture, and enhance the steak seasoningâand this place would easily be five stars. Highly recommended, and weâll definitely be back for another...
Read moreBeen wanting to come here and thought Christmas was the perfect opportunity. We were immediately wowwed by the decor, the restaurant was beautifully designed and the staff seated us immediately. Unfortunately that is the only good thing I can say about our experience.
They limited the menu but failed to take time to print a special Christmas day menu, so when ordering, the waiter kept telling us everything was unavailable. We had to negotiate with the staff for ten minutes to see if the kitchen could make an exception to make a burger for my kids. The manager was dronelike and unkind... an interaction that would bother most people who come to a restaurant of this caliber... but given that it was Christmas day, I found it especially in poor taste that the manager gave us a hard time about making a burger for children and could not muster so much as a smile. Not exactly the spirit that one expects during the holidays.
We ordered a coursed meal with appetizers, soup, salad, and entrees. The appetizers were unimpressive: the stuffed mushrooms had sliced cheese melted on top. our entrees came immediately after our appetizers... The waiter forgot to serve our soup. As far as the entrees went, the twice baked potatoes looked like they came from Wendy's drive thru and the steak was tasteless. The roasted chicken was undercooked.
They offered us dessert as a way to make up for the bad experience but it added insult to injury. The cheesecake was dry and the chocolate cake tasted like cardboard.
Chicago Prime was a fake version of quality downtown restaurants such as Wildfire, Morton's, or Capital Grille. They are family owned and the impression I walked away with is this: They were more interested in making a dollar than securing their reputation as serious fine dining. ... I can forgive bad food but there is no forgiveness for bad management, service, and treatment of others, especially on...
