My first visit to a long time establishment in downtown Palatine. My first impression is that it is a nice place, large and open and unlike many bars in that you don't feel claustrophobic and closed in by dark low ceilings and narrow rooms. We were there for a show in the concert room which is upstairs and set back from the front of the house/bar. The concert venue is pretty impressive for a bar, with both a downstairs floor/bar area and an upstairs/bar area that is open and overlooking the stage. Staff and Security are pleasant and constantly on the move. My biggest complaints are, the sound system speakers break up sporadically but are not bad for a bar venue setup and seating downstairs is almost non-existent, not good when dealing with patrons who weren't very respectful of others. Otherwise I would recommend this establishment and definitely return!

It was my first time here. I was able to find parking around the corner and in the parking garage. The inside was pretty standard bar atmosphere. The concert hall floor was extremely sticky like after ozzfest stinky ground. It was nice to have some high top tables and chairs in the concert hall. The sound was amazing! Bartender was super nice. Grungeworthy put on a fantastic show and I rocked the night away! Was able to meet the band after the show and they were also super nice. After some time we were asked to relocate to the bar floor and exit the concert hall. I was content from the show and left. Getting to my car was fine and was very happy I decided to go the last minute show.

I can't speak for the food or drink which I'm sure are good according to over reviewers but that's is not what I'm here for. If you are thinking of attending a "concert" here then please keep reading.

I was there, with a group of friends, for one of their Saturday night concerts in there "back room" to see a band I had heard very positive things about. The energy from them was really great. Their set was amazing as were the band mates themselves. There's a bar in the stage area and if you'd like you can actually get good spots near the stage for easy picturing taking. Which is always a plus.

As the night progressed we learned that there is absolutely no security what so ever. Any illusion of order is quickly thrown out when I attempted to notify one of there "security personnel" of any sort of problem. Which I then got for my trouble was a response from the "authority figure" (a term I use very loosely) that said "That's not my problem."

The problem was started by a group of overly intoxicated, bar hoping birthday partiers who thought it would be an excellent idea to turn this seemingly average yet amazing show into a drunken mosh pit. Complete with clinging on people they clearly don't know, bombarding people with any body part they could just to get to the stage, and attempting to start fights right in the front row. A woman next to us was brought to tears as they repeatedly shoved her against the stage, as they did others.

So if you're thinking about attending a show here, I'm not saying don't, but I would highly advice against it. As far as my friends and I are concerned, they just...

Long story short, the staff is overly aggressive, rude and will forcibly remove people who get lost inside the building.

Long story, I traveled over 2 hours, in a group of 8 people for a show that was canceled, and we were only informed 30 minutes before hand. We went to a restaurant and came back for the DJ. While enjoying the entertainment, a friend went for fresh air because he wasnt feeling well. He went down some stairs looking for a ground level exit. At that point multiple security personnel started yelling at him, and dragged him from the building. I was looking for my friend at this point because he had been gone for about 10 minutes. I heard yelling down this flight of stairs, so I went to check and make sure it wasnt him as he is a pretty non confrontational person. At that point, I myself was being yelled at very aggressively by two security guards. I asked them if the guy who I saw get dragged through a door frame had a plaid shirt on. They said no it wasnt, I explained I had a friend who was missing. Turns out it was him. We found him outside with no coat and no place to go, as all of his stuff, including his phone was in the bar still. I 10/10 do not recommend a place that treats it patrons like this. Last detail i forgot, the staff claims these stair were barricaded. They were not, I would have noticed as I was not drinking, I was the DD...

I attended a heavy metal show the night of Friday January 24th in 2025. The band room was very cold with a frigid breeze felt through most of the room. The breeze was strong enough that it was moving all the decorations by the bar. Did they have the air on? In the middle of winter? Some people there had their hands in their pockets and then put their jackets back on. The bartenders had hoodies on and were clasping their hands together to keep them warm. People I talked to said it was definitely cold in there and that it was cold the last time they were there for another heavy metal show earlier in the month on Sunday January 5th. I was at that show also and I agree with them. The bartenders said it was a back door to the outside that the bands usually keep ajar that was letting the cold in but this was not the case as I checked. I understand not having the heat on in the room but to have cold air blowing in there in the dead of winter? This is twice now that this happened. Is this the norm for the band room? It made for a very uncomfortable evening both times I was there. I couldn't wait to leave. Plus the liquor selection at the bar in the band room was extremely lacking. The only bourbon they had was Makers Mark. I wanted to go to the front main bar but was told there was a private party and I wasn't allowed....
