Papa Saverio's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Palatine Township

After Google searching the hours of operations, my family and I decided to try Papa Saverio's. My husband tried it before and he was the one who recommended it. I have been wanting to try it for a while now and since we moved close to the location I said "let's give it a go." As I am not familiar with the ambiance and I had seen individuals inside the location and going of the hours of operations on Google I went it. An employee rudely answered "we're closed." I apologize and went on my way. As I was walking out the employee said "lights out, that means we're closed." I turned back and was in shock and informed them that Google said they were open. I am always excited to try new places because I love food but after this encounter I will definitely be crossing this location of my list. I hope no one else has an encounter like this and I am disappointed that I will not get to experience something new. The pan pizza was massive and worth it, I guess it's just a deep dish pizza. The cheese sticks were little salty for me. Appreciate the quantity of the toppings and they went easy on the marineara sauce which I liked unlike some other places.

Edit 04/08 : I feel there is no difference in the crust, size, quality or quantity between thin crust, pan pizza, deep dish or anything else .. you are going to get an overloaded pizza which becomes a dish rather than a pizza at the end of the day. It's tasty but it's not a pizza imo , it just becomes something else, also the pizza box can't handle the heat, you probably want to have a seat cover before you place the Pizza box on...

The man at the register with the curly hair was so helpful and kind and very knowledgeable of the menu, even though I haven't seen him at this location before (so I assume he's new) it was extremely busy but he was able to give us an accurate time of when our 2 slice special would be ready and he stayed very professional calm and courteous despite the obvious rush they were experience during the dinner hour. So glad to have such wonderful front of house staff. Makes waiting for the "ready to eat" slices well worth it.
