Pearl and Brew Tea Coffee Bubble Tea — Restaurant in Palatine Township

Yuck. I ordered a Thai Tea Frappe, and I’ve never had Thai tea taste anything like this–just awful. It doesn’t taste like there’s any tea in it at all, just ice and some spices. The boba also tastes…weird. My partner got some drink with banana and I swear it tastes like they put in some banana flavoring from Temu.

Some feedback to elevate the quality of the store: improve on taste; if you’re using flavoring packets, don’t. Find some recipes for boba tea. find a different boba supplier; it just tastes very weird every part of the store creates an impression on customers so do the following: get real ambient music (for some reason the audio system plays 30 seconds of a song then goes to another). Pay $10/mo for Spotify premium and search for a “coffee shop” playlist put menus on the TVs and remove the protective wrap from it add photos of the drinks to ordering kiosk add the ability to order and select toppings on the kiosk. You’ll get more toppings purchased per order, and customers will be more satisfied furniture is too close together and feels really cramped you could remove food from the menu. Great Boba and Unique Snacks, But Room for Improvement

I had a mixed but overall positive experience. The highlight of my visit was definitely the almond milk tea with coffee boba—it was delicious! The tea had a rich, black cherry flavor, and the coffee boba added a unique twist. My only complaint is that there was a bit too much ice, which diluted the drink as it melted.

The shop offers a small but interesting selection of Indian snacks. I tried their butter pav sandwiches, which came in three varieties, and they were tasty and satisfying. However, the hot masala tea was disappointing—it tasted watered down and lacked the bold, spicy flavor I was expecting.

I also noticed they had sweet snacks like small waffles with toppings, which looked amazing! Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try them this time, but I’d love to on my next visit.

The atmosphere is cozy and well-decorated, but as other reviews have mentioned, the place could really benefit from some background music to liven up the vibe.
