Rancho Grande — Restaurant in Palestine

We were told to try this place that the food was good. Well we beg to differ. The chips were so so. Our waiter tried his best. My husband ordered the quail fajitas and I ordered the sour cream chicken enchiladas. They brought out my husband's baracho beans and tortillas right after we ordered so by the time the food came out they were cold. When the food came out there were 3 halves of a quail bones and all. With it being called fajitas that isn't what he expected but he proceeded to try to get meat off the bones which was enough for a taco at $19.00 a plate not worth it. He asked his waiter to speak to the manager all she said was well it is quail, then she walked away. But what made it worse was when he but into the taco he bit down on something that sounded horrible. I heard the Crack which broke two of his teeth. He asked to speak to the owner they said the only one there was the owners son which was the manager. So we asked to speak to him. She came back and said he wasn't available. He said I will wait. She came back and said he is busy your food is taken care of you can leave. Needless to say he was in pain and very upset. We did call and make a police report. All this could have been handle so much better. He now has to go to the dentist, miss work. So...

Gotta say these one star reviews that’s brought the overall score down so much sure are doing a disservice to this place. Bc of that i was quite skeptical but i was very impressed.

We walked in on a Sat night to a live sax player. And he was good! Our party of 8 was sat in a privet room. Sure, the chips are not great, but the salsa is solid. And it’s served warm, always a bonus. The rita’s were tasty and strong. I had the Carne Asada. It had a great season and a great char/crust. Prepared med rare too. Also have to compliment the charro beans. Maybe the best i’ve ever eaten. With well cooked jalapeño slices. Not too spicy, just enough kick. I look forward to returning next time we are in town. Decided to try the new restaurant in town. Our only regret is not trying it sooner. We walk in on a Friday night and were immediately greeted with smiling faces. We requested a booth and they made it happen. The service was great, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was extremely pleasant. Live entertainment was provided and did not disappoint 👏.
