This place has amazing food for brunch and good ciders, but they are really weird when it comes to their hours of service and ability to get a table. I called in to make sure they were open (because they seem to be randomly closed even when google says their open) and they told me it would be 45 minutes to an hour to get a table and they don't take call ahead reservations. No problem that's fair. I arrive at the place and said I'd like to put our names down to be seated and they said they don't have a list and it's just first come first serve. I have never had this experience before with a restaurant and had no idea how to react, it is so bizarre that they wouldn't have a running list of people to seat as they arrive. That's first come first serve right? Meanwhile I saw at least 3-4 tables open tables inside and she made no mention that there is seating available inside. I have had so many frustrating experiences trying to get a table hear but I keep dealing with their weird service practices because their food is so good 🙃. So writing this review for 2 reasons: 1) for potential customers to beware of their bizarre practices and 2) a note to the owner of the frustrating experiences that people have trying to get a table at your establishment. I'm sure you have your reasons/excuses for being this way but it's not a...
Read moreI recently visited this lovely family-owned cider & bistro, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the owner and staff, who were all friendly and attentive.
I ordered the Reuben sandwich, and it was outstanding! The prosciutto-corned beef was awesome, the sauerkraut had just the right amount of coriander and spice on the toast, and the cheese was perfectly melted on deliciously toasted bread. Easily one of the best Reubens I've had! I was told the 1000-Island is made in-house. I had the French Onion soup with it and that was great too. Wow tasty!
The cider selection was tasty, with a variety of flavors to choose from. We did a flight of three. They were sold-out of the Blueberry-Lavender cider but still had four other options. The staff helped me find a new favorite, and I appreciated their recommendations.
Overall, this is a wonderful place with delicious food, a friendly atmosphere, and a great team. If you're in Palisade, definitely stop by for a meal...
Read moreNo contest, these are the best ciders you will taste in Palisade. (We tried Talbot's and they are more like tea. 😕)
The standard cider is on par and already earns this newer Cidery a seat at the table.
🍑 Their Peach cider packs a punch and is a strong sweet and tart compliment to any of their dishes.
🫐 The Blueberry Lavender cider though... 🤯 this is brilliant and quite possibly my favorite cider I've ever tasted (and we've been all up and down the Front Range cideries). They somehow perfectly balanced the floral lavender notes with the subtlety sweet blueberry. No one else gets this as right as they have.
The owner has the unmistakable pride and passion of a master craftsman. So keep an eye on this label.
I haven't even touched on the food all of which was a delicately balanced pallet of flavors in each dish. That photo is a french toast Ruben with peach chutney. 🤤 These guys are artisans. If you haven't already, ditch your plans for the afternoon and...
