To add to the previous review, as the owner stated we did not provide "facts."
Our daughter started crying after hitting her head on the table and in about 10-15 seconds, the owner came and asked us to “Please take her outside to not bother the other customers.” There was no compassion or care for the crying child. We told the owner she hit her head and the response was, “I thought she was acting out and didn’t know she hit her head.” We left without engaging in further conversation and left no tip, as we were left hurt by the absolute lack of compassion.
To the owner of BapEeRang: We hoped that leaving a review would be a learning opportunity for you, as the owner of the restaurant. Usually, mature owners would own some responsibility and apologize. It’s very clear that you have a fixed mindset.
It’s unfortunate because we really like the food at your restaurant. Please know that given you are in the service industry, most people recommend restaurants by word of mouth. We exist in a community and we share hurtful experiences we encounter - whether with other friends, school parents, in the church, etc. Hurting one family has repercussions and we hope that you can remember this and choose to learn rather than be defensive...
Read moreOne of the previous reviews said it was the best Korean Restaurant. I said yo myself come on. Not sure if I can say it’s the best but it is DEFINITELY in my Koreatown rotation. I have been here now 4 times in the last month or so and enjoyed the food. To be honest, I am very finicky and only eat beef dishes or tofu so I would not be able to give any feed back of seafood or pork items. All I can say is that the side dishes are very nice and all of my main items were excellent. The service is appropriate and pleasant. The gentleman who seems to be the owner is professional and suitably attentive. We had the summer special BBQ with a variety of wraps and it was on point. The parking is easy but I could see it becoming harder as this hidden gem tides the “somun” wave. Hope it stays the same as it gets busier. Let’s remember this is Koreatown and review accordingly. You mostly have Korean speaking employees that may have a problem being too descriptive. My Kalbi combo with denjang jigae was excellent. Would...
Read moreWill go again - Bap ee rang is one of the best Korean restaurants I ate at. My friends and I ordered many different items: spicy stir fried pork combo with kimchi stew, raw marinated crab combo, LA beef short ribs combo with fermented bean stew, korean seafood pancake, mukeunji marinated chicken stew with aged kimchi. Majority of the choices were absolutely delicious. They had very good seasoning and marinate for how they should be cooked. Savory, spicy, sweet...all the taste senses were on point.
With korean food, korean side dishes follow. These are a main compliment to main dishes. They had a variety of side dishes and it was all tasty.
The interior is spaced out given COVID. At the time I visited, it was late so there wasn't much people at all. The parking lot has about 7 spaces or so. However, it is a bit tight.
Highly...
