Went today with my wife, food used to be good, but today was actually pretty bad. First of all our pho was not as ordered. My wife always gets her sliced steak rare or uncooked on the side, this way she can put it the hot broth to cook it to her liking but it came out already in the broth and was overdone for her liking. We told the waitress/front end person, she seemed not too concerned and said that’s the way it is. We told her no, that we want the beef rare on the side. She said okay and brought it back to the kitchen to have her order done properly as asked for. They brought what looked exactly like they had before, except they removed the overcooked beef and put it on a plate and said here’s the rare beef. We said are you kidding and told them to take it away, we don’t want it. My order couldn’t be any simpler, I asked for no scallions in my bowl of spicy pho with beef stomach. Guess what, it took me 5 minutes to pick out all the scallions they put in it, seems like they just added a lot more instead of none. Beef stomach was very chewy and hard to digest, ate a little and had my wife finish it since she hadn’t gotten her pho order because of it coming out incorrectly twice. The pork spring rolls generally come out hot and crispy but ours were neither, seems like it was barely cooked. Forgot to mention that the pho noodles seem like small pieces, kinda broken up. We should have just gone next door to Old Shanghai Soup Dumpling which was 1 of our 2 choices, it’s alway excellent there. Don’t think we’ll be returning to Pho 420 Saigon anytime soon or anytime for that matter. There’s other pho places around. They never apologized for...
Read moreThis place used to be good. Things have changed you get very little for your money a huge bowl of tasteless broth with a ton of pasta and you’re lucky if you get two slices of beef in it, and the vegetables were not fresh they were brown. I got one single leaf of basil, and I’m told is for decoration not for the soup? I’m looking to eat is not a holiday plate with decorations. It should be part of what you put in the soup, not worth the money anymore. I sat down, waited for service had to approach the server three times and on the third time I had to actually speak to either manager or owner to take my order because they were taking other people that came in after me. I should have walked out, but I didn’t. Perhaps because I don’t speak the language that they were speaking they weren’t taking me seriously to place the order, I was sitting at their 1st table and by the entrance counter. Definitely my last time here very disappointed. I guess the Chinese restaurant next to them will be getting my business from now on. I left 90% of my food, ate the 2 pieces of meat and left the 3rd piece of Ox Tail that was rubbery., I look forward to a nice bowl of soup, kind of nice to be able to enjoy your food and feel like even though you’re overpaying for a bowl of soup that at least is well done very...
Read moreAs an avid Pho-natic, I always enjoy having a lovely bowl of brisket pho with family and friends. Funny enough it was a Wednesday, and my usual spot Pho32 was closed (a great spot) so I ventured into this establishment with my mom. I ordered a brisket pho and my mom ordered a vegetarian pho, yet we never received our food. We watched as even though we were the first to put an order in to our server, every other table around us got their food first, were refilled on drinks, and asked how everything was. Server treated me and my mom differently and it was a very disappointing experience as I would have never went here if I remembered pho32 is closed on Wednesdays. We felt treated differently and looked down upon because of our looks and appearances. We also called the manager the following day to voice our opinion, yet was only masked with an apology and a quick "is that all". Please don't go here for pho or anything but just to use the bathroom maybe and leave after, there are numerous gems in town such as the place to the left (amazing dumplings), abiko...
