Visited about 3:00 on a Thursday. Drive-thru was wrapped around the building. Wanted to bring my granddaughter for her first Dairy Queen Blizzard and she said she wanted to go inside so that's what we did. Looks great, just like a brand new building should. Everything was clean, wiped up, and it's a nice, airy dining area although a little on the small side. I could see why they made that choice to have a smaller footprint because so many people just use the drive-thru.
We placed our order to go and smooth process throughout. There were two tables with people eating in, and we had a seat while we waited for our two blizzards and one peanut buster parfait to be ready. I took a couple of pictures of the interior and before I knew it... definitely less than 10 minutes if even that long... our order was delivered ready to go to our table.
Service was excellent. I actually thought it would take a lot longer and they would prioritize drive-thru. My granddaughter was thrilled to realize that there was much more than ice cream here and proceeded to explain the entire menu to me lol. We have to go back and try out some of the food and I'll give an opinion on that once done.
Overall, ice cream was great. My peanut butter parfait was a little lacking with ice cream and there were a lot of peanut skins in there which wasn't very pleasant. That's the only reason that there's a four on the food. Granddaughter made her own m&m and Oreo blizzard and we grabbed one for my husband who always has chocolate ice cream with Reese's cups. This Dairy Queen makes three ice cream stores down the same stretch of road. But I really think they cater to different kinds of taste. The Dairy Queen having food service is different from our other ones. I think they'll be quite busy with food until the novelty wears off.
Our total for the mini blizzard, medium blizzard, PB parfait was $17 so a little high but then again what isn't.
I'm looking forward to trying their cheese curds, etc. In general it kind of felt like being inside Culver's which is also a favorite and tense offer pretty much the same food item. We will definitely be back and I was impressed with how smooth everything was running for a recently opened store.
If you know anything about recent building in Palm Bay you'll understand that we're just thrilled it's not a self-storage or...
Read moreMy family and I have been super excited for this location to open. I hate to admit, but my family comes here weekly, sometimes twice a week. When they first opened, the quality of the desserts were great and so was the customer service.
However, the past two weeks, it seems as if the quality of the food and customer service is declining on second shift. Last week, I got a mint oreo blizzard. It barely had any mint in it and then half of it towards the bottom was vanilla. The young girl working drive thru wasn't the friendliest either. I blew it off and just thought they were having an off day.
But then, yesterday my family and I went there again during second shift for dessert. My family ordered blizzards. Once again, same young girl, no friendly personality and hands me my wives blizzard that had strawberry filling oozing all over the side of it and spilling all over my hands.
Then I get my chocolate dipped cheesecake blizzard. As I'm eating it on the way home, I notice I have no cheesecake pieces and again, I get halfway to the bottom and all I get is vanilla ice cream.
I called today and spoke to a gentlemen who said he was the manager. I explained my situation. He told me to bring my receipt in and they'll get me a new blizzard. However, I'm not looking for a free hand out, I just want to do them the favor and explain a quality issue with their products because I'd like to see them be successful and stay in business. I even told him I wasn't expecting anything free, I just wanted to give him a heads up of my experience. However, it seemed like he was in a hurry to get off the phone and said he'd...
Read moreI love that they put a Dairy Queen in Palmbay. I love going here as a rewards member and taking advantage of the deals on the app. Today just wasnât what as I expected for national life cream day. They advertise that rewards members can get a free dilly bar with the purchase of a dollar for the timeframe imaged. I placed an online order as I always do and was expecting my free dilly bar but NOPE! đđž not today. I was told that my account has to have at least 200-300 points on it to take advantage of the deal. That is not whatâs advertised! Even on their online site it states with a $1 no where does it say you have to have a certain amount of points. This really disappointed me as I had to drive at least 20 mins to get to this location. My order still didnât matter and me being a reward member didnât matter either unless I had those 200 points. Iâm very disappointed in how they handled the situation and owned up to what is advertised online AND onsite.
Ice cream and fries were...
