A bunch of crooks...When I called them, the original one didnt have my size I needed but said their other Palm Bay facility had my size so she set everything up before I left NC to Florida. I had read some non flattering reviews and inquired with the lady on the phone about what was said about rate raising.....She assured me it would be atleast a year before that may or may not happen....Well guess what, barely 3 months into being there, they raised my storage locker over $60.00 a month. Called the facility and spoke to some rude Asst Manager who had the attitude of it sucks to be you after I explained what I was told prior to moving in....she could careless....sad part is the place I had to take the UHaul back to and the car carrier warned me they were crooks and offered me a rate $5.00 more then what Extra Space Ripoff Storage charges...I was like no the lady gave me her word and I gave her mine that I would take her storage locker and dont wanna bail on them ladt minute.....OH BOY I WISH I DID NOW....NOW I HAVE TO PLAN A DAY TO MOVE OUTTA THERE AND GO TO WHERE I SHOULD OF WENT TO WHEN I WAS WARNED.....What a crappy way to do business....I pulled my good review I gave them when I moved in because they are not deserving of even a 1 star review....Buyer beware, they will pull this on you, dont be dumb like me, a few dollar bump is bad enough, but $60.00 more a month??? Scum bag predators....Im gonna find EVERY PLACE I CAN TO LEAVE THIS REVIEW, AS WELL AS THE BBB, AND ANYWHERE i CAN.....AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Update....owner said he would look into it, I guess that's their way of making themselves look good on a bad review because I haven't heard a word from them about this or making it right!!! Just shows the lack of morals by the big companies, all about the money, screw...
Read moreI used to have the storage unit years ago and they were great, however they must have had a change in management because after 3 months of having my stuff in storage they sent me a bill for over an additional $70 a month. Luckily I'm not that far and I didn't need the storage unit that bad but just be mindful once moved in that they will change the rate on you they add an additional $70 on to my already $150 storage unit. Once I call to let them know that I was fully moved out because I refuse to pay that, they told me that I should have called to negotiate the price lower. I think that says enough about this company, you wait until everything is moved in and possibly people are out of town or state and then raise the bill by $70 plus how does that make any sense and how does that make a good business decision? I rented from this exact same storage unit years ago and never had any problems until recently. I am very disappointed and was told that I should have called to renegotiate the price. I'm not playing that game this is not what I signed up for and I'm not going to call every 3 months to argue about the price increase. That is what I was told on the phone that if I would have called they could have worked on the price. Perhaps it should have worked on the price or better yet not even changed it considering I was only 3 months into renting the unit from them. Read moreLet me tell you the truth! This place is horrible!. The two ladies that work there will lie directly to your face. The lady at the front desk helped me with this procedure, personally, lied. I needed to replace my lock on my storage shed and because of my companies schedule was unable to do so for 4 or 5 days. The ladies explained to me that they do a walk through every night to see what sheds have a lock and the ones that do not have a lock. NO LOCK YOUR ARE CONSIDERED TO HAVE DECLARED A VACANCY. 1100 sheds, one night, give me a break. I gave them my corporate CC to pay for the shed without fail or being late, ever! After trying to explain my side, they would not or did not care to help, period. My company and my customers come first even if I have to give my customers something that might cost me money. Take care of your customers on the front end and they will take of my business on the back end. NOT THIS COMPANY, THEY DON"T GIVE A DAMN!
