Yesterday I sent in my email order for today, Friday June 12th, for me and my husband's anniversary feast. I have been a fan or Irsashiai 2 ever since I decided on my birthday two years ago to eat there on a whim, and had the chance to meet Mama.

I picked up our order today at 3pm, it survived perfectly on the way home and it is still the absolute BEST Japanese food I have had in a very long time.

We always order the Takoyaki as it is crispy, golden, flavored lightly and melt-in-your-mouth (literally. They will melt.) delicious. The Gyoza (dumplings) were flawlessly golden fried while being fork-tender and mild yet savory.

I added two new things to our order to try: Spicy Beef Ramen and the Curry Udon. They were magnificent. The curry Udon uses yellow curry which is a mild spice (I am a spice wimp, and it was acceptable) with veggies galore and the spicey beef was not as spicy as I thought either, I could eat it no problem. (I think Irashiai 2 made it 'American Spicy,' which tends to be mild.) The noodles were cooked to perfection and kept in their own container so they did not over cook and the curry/ramen broth portion was extremely generous.

We ordered a feast of maki rolls, Aloha, California Sundae, Godzilla, Negihama and Philly.

We inhaled everything but half of our Udon/Ramen as we are no full to finish it off.

I have NEVER been disappointed. We tend to save up $ and go on special occasions so that we can really splurge and enjoy as much as we can that Irashiai 2 can offer us. We HIGHLY encourage everyone to order take out from here, and attempt to eat-in whenever the restaurant can...

I went with two friends on New Years Eve. We made a reservation and were quickly seated. Seating looks like a premium because the space is cozy so be prepared.

The atmosphere on the inside is gorgeous and everything feels like it's done with intention and purpose. The lighting and the arrangement all added to the experience. We ordered the house sake and gyoza for appetizers and were already hooked. Our entrees were two of the bento box dinners, one dragon chicken and the other beef teriyaki as well as a ramen bowl. The food was amazing. I was gushing over the food the entire time we were eating. The dragon chicken was an entire experience unto itself, with thick juicy bites inside a wonderfully fried skin. All of the things you look for when trying to describe culinary encounters at a higher level were present, balances in not just flavor but texture, temperature, appearance, etc were all present in the bento box. They are an amazing value in both quantities/variety of food but also in quality and taste. We had two orders of Mochi Ice Cream for dessert to try all of the flavors and every one was worth it. They definitely do their part to make even the smallest things stand out with their presentation.

To summarize: Amazing Fresh Food. Incredible preparation and presentation. Excellent Value in both price and quality.

I say this wholeheartedly, this restaurant is what I will use as a benchmark in all my future...

This is a sushi place. Get sushi here, it's absolutely amazing and fresh and just delicious. I've dined in once and gotten takeout once. Just fabulous. They really care about your dining experience and they really want you to enjoy the food. They take it to heart.

I also like that there's this tiny little old Asian lady, she's got to be a grandma or a mother or something. And she is just driving the staff completely insane 🤣🤣 Definitely a family business. Kind of hilarious to watch because she just gives off hovering mother energy but she clearly means well. Older generations typically get forgotten and left at home because younger generations don't have the patience for them. But everyone is patient with her even though you can tell they're annoyed. It's quite entertaining and wholesome. It's really good to see family working in family businesses.

Plus, this is the best sushi that I've had in the area. And will now be the only place that I go for sushi. I got dumplings here and they were delicious too. But the sushi is just blowing every other restaurant in the area out of the water. I cannot put it into words. Very kind people. When you get takeout, they include everything that you need in the bag. They care about their food, they care about their service, they care about their business, they care about their customers and they include their...

I just absolutely love this place. My family and I eat here at least once a month, almost always take out. My 6yr old begs to eat here. Over the years, I’ve eaten at plenty of sushi restaurants all over the world. I’ve had all kinds of fancy rolls. But what I have found is the sushi restaurants who can make the simplest rolls taste delicious are the best. Irashiai 2 does this. Everything we get from them is always super fresh and Delicious, and although their fancy rolls are very very good, we find their simplest rolls to be the most yummy. Today they made me a beautiful platter consisting of Alaskan rolls (I modify slightly by adding cream cheese), and the tuna with crunch roll (which I prefer with extra scallion). 9 rolls total for $65. I find this to be an awesome deal when feeding a family of four!! Did I mention the customer service is always top notch?! They are so kind and so attentive to fixing any issues (one time they accidentally mixed up our take out order), and with just one call, they went out of their way and remade everything for us! I highly recommend them to anyone and everyone and really appreciate their freshness and affordability. I hope they never change!!! Thank you Irashiai! We will be back soon!!!
