If you’re looking for the best sushi in Palm Beach, Imoto is it. I’ve dined here a few times, and it never disappoints. The intimate setting, top-notch quality, and creative menu make it an absolute must-visit.
Drinks
The cocktail and sake selection is fantastic. My go-to drinks are the Forbidden Snow Lychee Sake, which is lightly sweet and refreshing with a touch of Prosecco, and the Sake-Tini, a perfectly balanced mix of vodka, sake, and cucumber.
Appetizers & Small Plates
The rock shrimp tempura is a must—crispy, perfectly fried, and served with a flavorful dipping sauce on the side. The Peking duck tacos are another favorite, packed with rich duck flavor and a great balance of textures. If you’re a fan of rice dishes, the char siu pork belly fried rice is an absolute winner, with perfectly cooked rice and tender, flavorful pork belly.
For sashimi, both the Hamachi crudo and Japanese snapper crudo are insanely good—fresh, buttery, and beautifully prepared. The Japanese snapper crudo stands out with the pistachios, which add a nice crunch to every bite, balancing the delicate fish beautifully.
Rolls & Wood-Fired Dishes
I’ve tried several of their rolls, and you really can’t go wrong. Some standouts include: • Naruto Maki Roll (wrapped in cucumber for a lighter, refreshing bite) • Super Salmon Roll (packed with fresh salmon, a salmon lover’s dream) • Spicy Seared Yellowtail Roll (great balance of spice and smokiness) • Dancing Eel Roll (rich, flavorful, and so satisfying)
If you’re craving something from the wood-fired grill, the galbi-marinated Wagyu beef is an absolute must—tender, flavorful, and cooked perfectly.
Reservations & Parking
Reservations are highly recommended, especially during peak dinner hours. The restaurant is cozy, so tables fill up quickly. I’ve seen some people manage to grab seats at the bar for walk-ins, but if you want a guaranteed table, it’s best to book in advance.
Parking is convenient—there’s valet parking, or you can find street parking nearby and take a short walk. Another great perk is that Imoto is connected to Buccan, so if you’re in the mood, you can even mix and match from both menus.
Pricing • Small plates & appetizers: $15-$30 • Rolls & sashimi: $18-$35 • Wood-fired dishes: $19-$23
The quality justifies the price, and I always leave feeling like it was well worth it.

Imoto, located right next door to Buccan and under the same exceptional ownership, is an absolute standout sushi restaurant nestled in the heart of Palm Beach. Though connected to Buccan, Imoto offers its own distinct and elevated dining experience—intimate, elegant, and thoughtfully curated in every way.
The location is fantastic, tucked away just off Worth Avenue on the island. Inside, the ambiance is just right: small, beautifully decorated, dimly lit, and full of energy. Whether you’re on a romantic date, out with friends, or dining with family, Imoto offers the perfect setting for an upscale sushi dinner.
And the food? Consistently perfect. Every dish is plated with care, featuring the freshest ingredients and vibrant presentation. Just like Buccan, it’s clear that each menu item is crafted with intention and creativity; each bite feels refined and memorable.
Some standout appetizers worth highlighting:
Seaweed Salad – Light, refreshing, and balanced with a subtle sesame note.
Edamame – Perfectly salted, a classic done right.
Miso Cod Lettuce Cups – One of the most unique starters: delicate miso cod paired with white asparagus, mandarinquat, and orange glaze served in crisp lettuce cups. Bursting with sweet-savory flavor and texture.
Hamachi Crispy Rice – A favorite! With red curry vinaigrette, ginger, scallion, and a rich red curry aioli, this dish brings heat, crunch, and depth all in one bite.
Local Wahoo Crudo – Cubed wahoo and avocado over a refreshing mint yogurt, finished with thin radish slices, crispy rice crackers, and a mysterious (but delicious) sauce that ties it all together.
The nigiri is also phenomenal; always incredibly fresh and precisely sliced. You truly can't go wrong with any order here.
Imoto is the first place I recommend when someone asks for sushi in the area. It combines world-class food, intimate atmosphere, and an unmatched attention to detail. A true gem on the island... 5 stars...
Read moreImoto is a sushi restaurant in Palm Beach near Worth Avenue that is just about as good as Nobu! Yes, that’s what I said! I had the pleasure of being served by Ashley- one of the best servers/bartenders I have ever come across and she made recommendations for the most delicious and delectable seafood dishes! While I did take a look at their wine and cocktail menu, which is vast and very impressive (for all the wine & cocktail lovers), as a creature of habit, I chose to pair all of my food with hot sake! I enjoyed tuna tataki, hamachi, several yellowtail specialty rolls, a rainbow roll and more! Some of the rolls were seared while some were raw! Definitely take your appetite when you visit Imoto because after your first bite, you will want to try every sushi, sashimi, roll, and just about everything on their menu! It is THAT good. If you are in Palm Beach and love sushi, this is a restaurant NOT to be skipped! The setting and ambiance is perfect at Imoto- very impressive. It is very rare that I would say any sushi restaurant could be as good as Nobu but Imoto could be IT!!! Five stars all the way!! I’d highly recommend you ask for Ashley as your server (she was truly amazing) and be prepared to enter sushi “heaven” when you eat here!! Imoto honestly has made it into one of my top five restaurants in Florida... or possibly the entire U.S.A. This restaurant should be...
