I try to be fair in my review and I should give it two out of ten. On the positive side it has a delicate environment. The menu has great items you can pick, the price range for a dinner entree falls around $25-$45 so you can expect good quality items. My dinner included veal and it tasted really good based on my experience, I also cook Italian myself. On the negative side, I do not know where to start. The first thing which I should have a clue was when I stood up in front of menu item outside for full 4-5 minutes before someone come and invite me inside. The interesting part was the waiter was standing right there with the manager with less than three feet away the whole time. Yes, no looking at me at all. I want to say it was not racial profiling , but how do you know. I had a shirt wearing on, not a suit with tie. That could have been one reason but they never mentioned of any dressing code and we did not see it. Not to mention the shirt was a designer shirt. And we definitely did not look like underprivileged. So the only thing comes to mind is a racial problem. Fortunately the server came and we were received. They showed us the table. That was probably the only time they were polite. We ordered the food while we had to wait for waiter for a long time and when he showed he would answer a question and leave quickly. You could see the next tables received attention more frequently than us, way more. I still did not get the clue and assumed on the being busy. I can say there were empty tables and they have many waiters so, I doubt the problem was not having enough personnel .After the dinner was delivered. My company noticed the pasta was under-cooked. She had to wait somewhere between five to ten minutes until the waiter showed up Only after I told another waiter to tell him. After she asked about the food, he insisted this is the normal way Italian pasta should be cooked. So I tried it and I have had many pastas in my life and this one definitely the worst! After I politely asking him to maybe cook it a little bit more. He went to do it. Without even one apology. You would think one single apology. Absolutely not. He came back with the changed dish and put it in front of her without saying a word. I am just surprised how they work in service industry not to mention running a luxury restaurant. I was just hoping we can eat and get out of there. That a wind came and blew the candle on our table. Again they came and they clean the mess on the table and again no sorry, no can we help you? nothing. It was the worst experience I have ever had in an Italian restaurant. Very disappointing. After I paid the bill, and the tip, which should be given only to the first person who welcome us to the restaurant! We left a note for the manager and left. He did not say a word. Like I said I try to be fair and they have a nice place and cleanness was great. But I would never go there again and if you look different than people who go there normally, especially...
Read moreI went here based on very high recommendation for a nice date night with my girlfriend, and it was almost comical how terrible the service is at this place. Our first waiter starts pouring water into our wine glasses within first 2 min of sitting down, we have to ask to have the candle lit on the table, very basic things just overlooked and gives an overall impression of incompetence.
For whatever reason, we get another waiter who starts helping us, and as we're trying to put in a few appetizers, we were not ready to put in our main entrees yet (naturally...), and the waiter rudely barks back to us "chef wants it all at once"... Honestly I'm just stunned at this point, I look over at my date and she's equally as baffled as to why we're being spoken to this way. So we're both just like "uhh ok..." and he storms off, comes back a few minutes later and I literally repeat the exact same thing I said before, and this time he accepts it and goes to put in our order.
We eventually get our main entree, the food was decent but nothing remarkable, not even close honestly. My girlfriend's food was so hot she burned her mouth trying to eat it.
We're hanging out at the table enjoying our night, sipping our wine, and we see people leaving as they're clearing wrapping up and preparing to close down at some point, but we had no idea what time that was, or how long they let guests hang out before they need everyone physically gone. No one said a word to us about them closing, when they need us gone, etc. We're eventually the last ones there, but only for about 10 minutes since the other table next to us left, and this big guy walks over all flustered with his voice shaking and says to me and my date "Thank you for coming, have a nice night", in a really passive aggressive and agitated way, then walks off all pissy. Yet again, I am left confused as to what I missed, and why this guy was so upset at us. So I get up and approach the guy, and I ask him "is that your way of telling us to leave?" only for him to repeat the exact same thing, and then threaten to call the cops on me for simply trying to reconcile his behavior and understand why we were being treated this way. At no point did we refuse to leave, or have a problem leaving, there was simply zero communication, and it went from 0 to 100, and it was extremely unprofessional.
Honestly, the food at this place is no where near good enough to ever go back after this, and it was completely unacceptable to be treated this way after spending $800 on a dinner for 2 at what is supposed to be a very nice restaurant. We were disrespected, and treated very poorly, and I do not recommend this establishment to anyone with an ounce of self-respect. Service really makes or breaks an experience, and this place has the worst most condescending and rude servers I have ever...
