Read moreI’m giving 5 stars because what I ordered was beautiful well presented and delicious; but the service left a lot to be desired… I went for dessert and coffee only, at… let’s say “tea time…”. Beautiful place. But since I said to the waiter I was there only for coffee and perhaps an ice cream they took the service away from the table (plate silverware and napkin…) the French waiter using his French accent as a charm, recommended a dessert which I gladly accepted. When they brought it, they never brought me another napkin of any kind. So I asked another waiter for one and he brought me a paper napkin the size of a coaster. So I told him to bring me a dinner napkin. He goes and bring me an all wrinkled cloth napkin folded in whichever way that looked more like a used napkin he picked up from another table and placed it at the border of the table and walks away…! Horrible! I asked for the manager to another waiter who brought the host. I told him and the same French waiter came to ask what was the matter. When I told him he said:” those are the napkins, if you don’t like it, sorry! 😱 seriously???? Wow! Then the manager (I think it was…) brought me a decent service and apologized for the lack of manners of the waiter. Although nice, I still think a fine place like that needs to better train their personnel up the standards required… I also asked the same waiter to please let the chef (sitting with the owner at a table in front of mine…) know I wanted to compliment him on the fantastic dessert and he said ok but didn’t. Completely ignoring my request. 0 stars...
Read moreEpic fail…. Once a staple on Worth, I understand why they’ve dropped to 3 starts. Stopped in for a late lunch. Todays service was slow and underwhelming, water glasses ignored. Way too long for order to be taken. Sangria and lobster bisque to start. Mains of the house specialty Cajun chicken and I wanted the Cobb, with a protein swap of lobster instead of the chicken and I eagerly told waitress that any up charge is understood and most welcome. Since their house salad is a whole lobster shelled, a top greens, I did not expect a problem. Waitress came back and said nope. Manager came over and said nope. Why? Just charge me the house salad price (or more) and make it an eggless Cobb? Nope. No changes to the menu.
Ok. Ate the soup, wife had the chicken and we left. Ah, on a side note, when you serve fries as a side to your house specialty, bring ketchup in a ramekin… would have asked for some, but the waitress wasn’t coming back to our table. One waitress for the entire restaurant??? And it wouldn’t hurt to have the chairs cleaned… while they are looking tired, they should atleast be dry cleaned, as well as the ceiling by the air return over the bar… which was rather dirty too.
A dated spot with a poor attitude.
Won’t be coming back. With La Goulue around the corner, which was our first choice, unfortunately they close at 2, better choices are...
