If I had to sum it up in one word... FANTASTIC! When I arrived for my first experience at Breakfast Republic the first thing I noticed was I was not the only one waiting for a table, which can be a good thing and a bad thing depending on the situation. I checked in, was told it's about a 45 minute wait and they will message me when the table is ready. So I asked myself if it was worth waiting, gave my name and decided I'll soon find out. As I sometimes do while waiting, I casually ask a random person if they had been here and is it worth the wait? The answer I received made me smile. The wait time was shorter than I was told which is always a good thing and when I sat down and received the menu it only got better! The menu has a good variety, some traditional but for the most part everything had a little bit of a twist on it and every twist that I noticed was nicely applied. For the life of me I can't remember the waitresses name which almost kept me from leaving this review because she is well worth mentioning! She was very knowledgeable, her attitude and people skills were exceptional and she was just fun! There's no other way to say it. So when I do get her name I'm going to edit this and make sure she is mentioned. But I do remember one name, Mary! as in Bloody Mary and not your generic Bloody Mary from a bottle, their Bloody Marys were rocking delicious! So what more could you ask for? Didn't have to ask for anything to be honest. The food comes out timely, hot and we were never left unattended or felt abandoned AND everything that I tasted was delicious. (At my table, we tried a little something from each others plate as well because we all thought our plate tasted the best). Service is from 7:00am to 3:00pm and approximately 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 is the most popular time for the crowd. Breakfast Republic is dedicated for the breakfast crowd. As a little side note, the walls are covered with catchy yet positive one liners that are fun to read and can spark up conversation. So to sum up this novel right now: I absolutely think the wait was worth it, I'm absolutely going back again and I encourage anybody that reads this, I hope it helps you decide to go there too. Typically when I review I mention I am a truck driver who's been there, done that, and only comment when a place leaves a...
Read moreI was super excited to go to this place, as I had gone to one in San Diego and it was excellent. Spoiler: this one is NOT. Went in alone on a Friday morning and they were really busy. Hostess told me I could sit at the bar, where I sat for 10 minutes without so much as a hello or a water. Not a big deal, I used to be a server and am understanding of how stressful things get when its busy. Eventually someone came to take my order, I asked for one of the benedicts and he said "OK, and what side would you like" instead of telling me the sides he was quiet while I searched the menu for the sides. I said potatoes please and he goes "just potatoes?" To which I said yes. Was going to order a minosa but he rushed away quickly without asking if i wanted anything else. Again, no biggie. 20 minutes later he brings me just the side of potatoes, which were stale and unappetizing. I figured the side just came out first. I sat there for another 20 minutes and the restaurant started to clear out, at this point I'm starving. Eventually he asked if I wanted anything else and I said I'm still waiting for my food. And he shook his head no....so he never placed the order for my food. Just some stale side that I didn't even want. Never clarified, never checked on me. Sat there for 40 minutes and left without eating. So incredibly frustrating and disappointing. And could have easily been prevented with the most basic communication...
