Rubio's Coastal Grill — Restaurant in Palm Desert

I've been dining at Rubios for years. But a disgusting service like I get lately is something else. The girl at the cashier looks like she's regarding the day that she starts works here. No thank you no communicate nothing. And when you don't tip? You can actually feel the look. Most of the times I tip, but not when I get that such an attitude. She might learn that from the girl with the short hair, who seemed to be more in charge. I ordered the food and I asked for the sauce on the side, the food came with no sauce and dry. So I talked to the girl with the short hair and I explained to her, no sorry, no nothing. She walked away and came back like she do me a favor by giving me a chipotle sauce that was supposed to come with the food that I ordered. she came back and gave me a small container, when I always get the bigger one. It's obviously not enough for the food. When I talked to her she was just walked away by saying if I want she can charge me extra.I don't care that there is no more lunch special, and the food is ok, but the service sucks! If you don't like the place that you work at, quit! We really enjoy fish tacos, and when I found out this restaurant has fish tacos, we decided to give them a shot. We ordered two bowls as well, to go. The service received from the employees was great; we greatly appreciate them. As for the foods, the bowls are very great-tasting! The shrimp and chicken were cooked the right amount and the taste of everything together, specially with their spicy sauce, caught us by surprise because it was great! As for the fish tacos… I was very underwhelmed. The fish didn’t have any taste to it, it was overcooked, and had air pockets inside instead of actual fish. It was surprising how the quality of the foods changed from the bowls (that were great-tasting) to the fish tacos (that were very mediocre-tasting). My wife and I like to order the Friday fish tacos meal. We ordered 2 meals as per usual plus an extra fish taco for the road. We get our order and get home to enjoy our Friday fish taco meal. The fish taco was so overcooked the fish was dam near disintegrated on the inside. The battered was so overcooked and filled with oil it was amazing that the US military didn't want to invade it for its oil rights. This wasn't on one taco, this was on all five tacos. I am contemplating using the tacos as wheel chucks to prevent trucks from going downhill. This is not Rubios quality is about, maybe at Exxon, British Petroleum, but not at Rubios. We spent spent almost 20 dollar's on fish so over cooked, I could have went to Autozone and could have at least had oil for my vehicle and a snicker bar for dinner and still...
