Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Palm Springs

We had quite the experience here during our weekend trip to Palm Springs. I go to Jersey Mikes all over San Diego but this visit was not what I was used to. The whole system going on between each worker at the stations (bread/meat, toppings, register) seemed to have no organization. As a result, they were taking too many sandwich orders at once (including an online one) and getting things confused. The gentleman behind us placed several sandwich orders and instead of confirming details, they started making them and then blamed HIM for the size being wrong as he pointed out it was supposed to be a giant. We were almost through, waiting on our toppings, and a random online order got added between our sandwiches making things confusing. We both ordered club sandwiches Mike's way with a couple extra things and after we realized mayo wasn't added (as the menu indicates for a club), the guy said "well you didn't tell me you wanted mayo". Yikes! The icing on the cake was my boyfriend getting back to our hotel and opening his sandwich to see a large dark hair around his sandwich. He went back, got it remade amid more sandwich chaos as the guy doing toppings exclaimed "papi chulo" about the hair. And that about sums it up. This place is great. They actually deli slice the meats right there before you to put it directly on your fresh sub. They have great choices of meats, chips and drinks. Gluten free bread choices. Also alkaline water, and other healthier beverage choices on top of regular soft drinks.

They offer individual subs as well as GIANT subs, and catering boxes filled with individually wrapped subs for a group.

They have a very friendly laid back crew. The restaurant is very popular and there is almost always a short line. Don't worry! The line moves quickly. What a team!

They trim and cook their roast beefs, USDA Choice Top Rounds, right in the store. They bake their own bread fresh in the store every day. Traditional white and whole wheat.

They serve oven fresh bread: Mini (Feeds 1) Regular, Wrap, or Tub (Feeds 2) Giant (Feeds 4)

Has gone downhill. Used to be my favorite sandwich place and the people that worked there were so friendly. Now it's not as good and the employees are worthless. Today I wanted 2 large roast beef sandwiches and asked how if the roast beef was rare. She showed me this small end piece and said this was all they had. The previous employees would say let me check in back and bring out a fresh one so I asked if they had one in back. The guy working said no it was still hot and she tells me they are all made the same so none are rare. I'm standing there saying so this is all you have, yes. Ok then I'll just take the one sandwich because that isn't enough to make 2 sandwiches. Oh then another guy chimes in and says don't we have some in the cooler. Basically she couldn't be bothered. I used to go once a week and only to the palm springs location but I've stopped going and thought I'd try it again since I was in the area. I probably won't be back...
