Been going here for many years .. it’s sad and depressing to post this bad review because it’s not the first time this happened .. i called at 3:50 pm to order for pick up and the lady told me it’s going to be a wait like 30-40 min! I agreed because this was the closest sushi place and I didn’t want to drive further.. so I was told they will call me when the food was ready . After 45 min I called and the famous answering machine call pls call back they were on a call came again .. so I called 3 more times and more answering service came on.. I decided to drive to the restaurant and I tried one more time and my call finally went through. I talked to a gentleman and he said my food was ready on the table!!!! So I immediately got furious because they didn’t call like they said they were going too! I went in the restaurant and they were not tht busy I see many empty tables .. I talked to the supervisor and she wasn’t even friendly nor smiled as I came in .. as I was talking to her she was dry and quite frankly had the don’t give a shit face! I told them this was unacceptable having my food and probably others sitting on the table for a while and not calling the customer to pick up! I mentioned they’re phone system was outdated too! They need a better solution to have better customer service for there customers rather to be told on a answering machine call back later! Again she had more excuses cuz they were busy and I told her u are holding a cordless phone and u still can’t call your customers back at a timely basis!!! Seriously I finally got my food from my order at 3:50 pm to paying at 5:10 pm!!! Horrible experience!!! I will never go this establishment again,,, there’s Kraze sushi and new sushi restaurant coming by Palmdale target in 10 th street! Lastly, this is not the first time this happened and their terrible answering phone system to call back and not having a live person picking up at a food establishment is really an inconvenience.. I did ask the supervisor there to pls have the owner name Justin call me back so he is aware his workers there are lazy and not attentive to his business !!! I’m sure he doesn’t care and will not even call !! But I’m fine with tht because I am never coming back here and give my business...

Dear Gold Fish Japanese food, Palmdale CA, Management,
I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the experience we had placing and picking up our order yesterday August 7th, 2025. As a long-time customers who have enjoyed your food for years, we were shocked by the poor treatment and lack of professionalism we encountered this time.
When placing out order over the phone with speaker on, the staff member—Maria, (according to receipt information), was extremely rude and dismissive. My daughter ordered 9 candy rolls, and Maria kept saying that they were 8, (we realized later that she possibly meant to explained that each roll comes with 8 pieces), my daughter confirmed and repeated that she wanted a total of 9 candy rolls. Instead of simply confirming the order, Maria made a disrespectful comment about her accent and implied that my daughter was not understanding due to a language barrier and also said if she realized that the total due was going to be $166.60 dlls. This was offensive and unacceptable.
Maria also insisted my daughter paid over the phone, she agreed to pay without hesitation, as this was a special order meant to celebrate a birthday with our family at 6pm. However, when my daughter picked up the food, she left the restaurant feeling extremely disappointed—not only by the way she was treated, but also because our order was incomplete. We received no ginger and no wasabi, which we only realized once we arrived home and our family were sitting at the table.
To make matters worse, I called myself to the restaurant later on around 9pm to speak with a manager to report what had happened and was told no one was available. I am not just speaking for myself—my family members were also offended by the way my daughter was treated and have decided we will no longer support your business. Your food may be good, but the lack of respect and poor service, especially from one of your employees has caused you to lose several loyal customers yesterday

Read moreCurrently I’m up in the air about this place. I was in the area as noticed all the traffic this restaurant had so when my sister invited me to another place we frequent I asked her if we could try Goldfish. We went in a little after opening and there were three parties seated. We looked at some of the dishes coming out and they looked and smelled delicious. We ordered mixed tempura, grilled shrimp, hot green tea and a sashimi bowl. Or order took a while to come out but we were catching up on things, plus good things come to those that wait so I’m told. Everything looked beautiful. The tempura was crisp. Vegetables were adequate size but the shrimp were mostly batter. My sister had the sashimi. She said the rice was tasty but the fish wasn’t as good as our usual place. I took a bite of the grilled shrimp and broccoli and it tasted like fuel. At first I thought it was me. I asymmetric sister who by the way is a chef to taste it. She was of the same opinion. With a little effort we caught the attention of a server because by now the place was full. She apologized and asked if I wanted a replacement, a new dish or a refund. I opted for the ginger chicken. She took the entrée and left the rice and salad. This time my order took so long I had to ask them to pack it to go. It was time to pick my son up from school. I have to admit the ginger chicken smelled delicious. The waitress brought the bill and she explained how she gave us a 20% discount. We thanked her and left. While waiting for the new entrée I did eat my salad which was fresh but the dressing was bland. I didn’t eat my rice because I didn’t come for white rice. I was surprised to see the to go package only had the ginger chicken in it. Maybe you can see why I am on the fence here. They tried to make it right which I appreciate. The food appeared to be good and everyone has a bad day. I just don’t know if at those prices I want to chance it again. My sister got one cup of hot tea, more batter than shrimp and although they replaced the entrée it took so long I had no time to try it. Then no rice...
