This is long. For those who don’t want to read, the short version is that if you have a food allergy or sensitivity don’t come here. If you are looking for a relatively quick dining experience, don’t come here. The long story: I made a reservation for 6:15. While waiting at the ā€œplease wait to be seatedā€ sign multiple people cut in front of us, and the host helped them despite telling us several times that they would be right with us. Ok fine, it’s a busy night. But after waiting 10 minutes just for my husband to approach the host, we learn that our table isn’t ready. The host has to move a table and add it to another section, clean up the table, and then we’re seated a few minutes later. Again, ok fine, it’s a busy night. The waitress comes over and we place our order. A soup, the ratatouille and 2 pizzas. 1 regular cheese and 1 a bit more complicated: GF veggie pizza without cheese, and mushrooms on just half. Repeated the order twice, and she repeated it back. I ordered a kombucha and was offered a sample of it before committing to the glass. Several minutes later the waitress comes back to say they are sold out of pizza for the night. Ok, fine, it’s a busy night. Let’s be flexible. We reorder different meals. But then several minutes after that, we learn the kitchen has already started our order and we were the last to get pizzas. Great! Back to plan A. The complimentary bread and soup come out pretty fast, but the kombucha sample took at least 10 minutes. Then when I ordered a glass of the kombucha it took even longer for that to come out. (Think it’s important to note I didn’t ask for the sample, it was offered to me. I wasn’t trying to be difficult). Eventually the pizzas come out. The cheese looks great. But the gluten free and dairy free pizza has cheese and mushrooms on the entire thing. The mushrooms I can get past, but I just cannot have dairy. The waitress offers to see if the kitchen can make a new pizza for me. She does, and they do. But here’s when things start to go from ā€œok fineā€ to well this is getting frustrating. The waitress announces that she will give a discount for the messed up pizza. A discount. On the pizza they messed up on and that she offered to keep on the table since my husband could eat it. We let her know we don’t feel we should pay for any of that pizza. She was apologetic, and I do understand it wasn’t her fault, nor was she responsible for the pricing. She checked with the kitchen, and was able to take that mistaken pizza off the bill. But, the fact that we had to protest paying for the mess up was bothersome. And at this point it was nearly 8pm, we had been in the restaurant with two tired kids since 6:15, and still didn’t even have my GF DF pizza. We ask for it to be boxed when it comes out. Eventually we do get the boxed pizza. The waitress discounts the kombucha and even throws a brownie into the mix. She was the only good part about the experience. Because I get in my car, we drive away, and when I open the box I find that they had made the freaking pizza with cheese and just picked it off. I could see white from where the cheese had melted before removing it. And of course it was covered in mushrooms. It was literally made the same as the first messed up pizza, but this time they picked off the cheese. Thankfully I don’t have an actual allergy to dairy, just a pesky autoimmune that makes me have joint pain and headaches when I have dairy. But for someone who has a serious allergy this could have been an awful situation. This was the third time we’ve come here and every experience is similar. This was just the worst one.

Our first visit to this local gem was a delightful surprise. Walking into the restaurant we could smell delicious things baking and cooking, and there was interesting photography and art on the walls. It was lunch time and a little busy but there was seating available. We were shown to a spot in a raised seating area that had a large front window. Overall it felt cozy and inviting. The menu had a lot of tempting options, and I ended up ordering the hot turkey sandwich. I'm someone who prefers oven roasted turkey rather than the deli slices but I forgot to ask our server about it, so when we got our food I was pleased that the sandwich featured generous slices which struck a perfect balance between both. It was layered with bacon and tasty pickled avocado on pillowy, herb-infused focaccia bread. A high quality sandwich - YUM. šŸ˜‹ It came with a choice of a side so I selected the creamy butternut squash soup. Oh my goodness. It tasted like Autumn - velvety and warm with spices that evoked falling leaves and happiness.Ā šŸ The other sandwich we ordered was the lentil burger which was also tasty, fresh and flavorful and probably the best lentil burger I've ever tasted. šŸ” šŸ˜‹ Our experience was complimented by attentive, friendly service and properly steeped Earl Gray tea served with milk and honey. ā˜• šŸÆ A reasonably priced lunch for such a pleasant and yummy experience!

In the heart of old Palmer, where flavors entwine, A dish divine emerges, a feast for the eyes. Eggs Florentine, with poached yolks that brightly shine, Nestled on new potatoes, a savory surprise. With red peppers and onions, they dance on the plate, In crimson sauce, a vibrant embrace they find. Chef Ryan's creation, a culinary fate, Freshly grated Parmesan adds richness refined. Four and a half minutes, the eggs softly rest, Their golden centers beckon with promise and grace. Each bite is a symphony, a brunch lover's quest, A harmony of textures in this charming space. So gather your friends for this brunch-time delight, At Turkey Red's table, where taste takes flight. I always order Eggs Florentine if it is on the menu. Turkey Red's is the best I have ever had. The eggs were perched like a proud, deserving king and queen atop what I presume were Alaskan vegetables-- carrots and potatoes and onions. Delicious! I also bought some tea. I enjoy Love Potion-- does it "work" or is it just me ;-) I'll keep buying and drinking it. Cheers! If they have root cellar stew, order it. There is nothing better in all things culinary than Turkey Red's root cellar stew. I think they make it with the best cuts of beef, and the usual vegetables and a touch of cream.

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU HAVE FOOD ALLERGIES/INTOLERANCES. Went out to eat with my mother and grandmother. We had reservations and the restaurant wasn’t even at 50% capacity. We ordered our food and drinks. My mom and grandmother received their wine and I was told the kombucha I ordered was gone. Ordered sparkling water which never arrived. We received no water for the table. Wait staff repeatedly walked up to our seating area glanced around and ignored our attempts to get their attention to ask for water. When our food came out they informed us that half of what we ordered was no longer available. Server didn’t offer alternatives.

Both my mother and I have celiac and had always enjoyed turkey red for having gluten free options. When we requested gluten free options the server informed us they were out of bread and stopped making gluten free pizza, ā€œit is too much of a pain for the kitchen to makeā€. I requested a gluten free menu or suggestions to which their server had nothing to offer and stated that making gluten free menus would cost too much money. The time that your wait staff spends going back and forth to the kitchen asking if things are GF would easily equal less than the cost to have a few GF menus available. You could even write on five of your menus with a red marker and no one would care. Just add a GF it’s so simple, it’s 2024 and loads of people in the valley are gluten free.

The clam chowder my grandmother ordered was watery and looked nothing like a chowder. The soup my mother ordered never showed up and her salad was dismal. I ordered an appetizer and was not informed that it was only a 1 ounce portion. The scallops were so overcooked they were like rubber and the polenta was burnt to a crisp and tasted like play dough. I would have ordered something else if I had known how laughably small it was. Still never received water even after requesting twice.

When I went to the counter to pay because no one came to our table with a bill or checked on us. Four servers walked past me. I was the only person at the register. Not even glance or I’ll be with you in a moment. Zero effort to acknowledge me. I said excuse me to a red headed woman who was incredibly rude to me. When I requested to speak to the manager she told me no. Then asked me what I would like her to do about my complaints. It is not the customers job to remedy piss poor service and offer suggestions for not giving even the bare minimum of service.

Safe to say I will never set foot or have a cent of my money go to this establishment and will eagerly share my poor experience with others to discourage others from giving business to such a disreputable establishment. Shame on whoever is running this place you really let it fall to shambles. Hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had...

I rarely give reviews unless I’m very pleased or very disappointed. In this case, I’m very disappointed. Last night, a group of 4 of us had dinner at Turkey Red. It was our first visit for 3 of us. 2nd visit for the 4th person. On her first visit, some time ago, she had a excellent breakfast meal with good service.

Our dinner service started fine but the service got worse as the evening went by. After ordering our entrƩes, it took 45 minutes before 3 of us received our meals. Another 5 minutes before the 4th meal was served. My first complaint is that all 4 meals should have been served at the same time not about how long it took. I can tolerate waiting for good food. However, one of the meals was overcooked. Rest of the food was fine but not outstanding.

My second complaint is that the salads that the 2 of us ordered weren’t served until several minutes after we started eating our meals. One of them didn’t want the their salad anymore and she asked the server to cancel the order because it came too late. The server insisted that she couldn’t do that and, instead, offered to box it to go.

My third complaint is the table service. This service was nearly nonexistent. Our water glasses were never refilled. I had to do this myself. Although, we asked 2 times for more complimentary bread and butter, it never happened. Our table was never bus while we were there, from 6:00 to 7:15. Nor were we asked by anyone if we would like another glass of wine or beer or any other drinks besides water.

My 4th, and last complaint, has to do with paying the bill. We wanted to pay the bill plus tip (although not deserved) with 2 credit cards, 1/2 of the total on one card and the other half on the other card. That didn’t happen. Instead, one card was charged 38.5% and the other 61.5%. How this got screwed up, I don’t know. At this point, we were totally frustrated, upset and had enough. Now, we’re thinking that we paid too much.

In summary, it was a terrible experience. None of us...
