Not from the area and always enjoy supporting a local business vs chain. This place is near our nephews home in Palmer. Food: my Ruben was tasty. No complaints. The scone was alright. A little on the dry side but it was still good. Coffee was delicious. Not a drop left behind. Atmosphere: pretty much what you would expect of a local cafe. Nothing notable. Service: needs work. Not very welcoming. No good morning, no smiles. Of all the businesses we’ve visited to date, this one is the only one we can’t give 5 stars. Side salad that came with my Ruben had a hair in it. I walked it up to the staff and got no apology or an offer for a new salad. Hence, why I give everything a 3 star review. Not the best experience but not the worst. We won’t be back. Crèma Coffee House & Pastries in Wasilla is where it’s at. Always greeted with a smile from beginning to end. You’ll come back for the food AND the...

I came here with a group prior to our day trip out to the glacier. We wanted a quick place to stop and get breakfast before our drive. The restaurant is laid back and inviting, with exciting decor from Alaska throughout. There were all types of people dining from locals to tourists such as my group. Service was good and the staff was friendly. Ordering is done at a counter and they bring your food to your table and seat you when it is ready. The Breakfast Burrito was amazing and the perfect way to start the morning. They offer it in varying flavors/meats. If you haven't yet had Reindeer in Alaska, here's a great place to try it. The burrito was nicely pressed to give the shell a crispy texture. Overall, it was a great quick stop and a nice way to support a...

I could eat The Matanuska everyday - so delicious! The cookies were just ok - if you want the absolute best cookies around, walk a couple blocks to The Baddest Batch!

A little frustrating that when we ordered the Lunch Combo, we were asked if we wanted a cup or bowl; we chose the bowl, then when the order came out we didn't get any bread and we found out we had been charged separately for the items and no bread was offered. If the bowl isn't an option for the Lunch Combo, don't ask if you'd like a cup or bowl.

Plenty of seating inside if you want to dine-in, plus there's a little shop across the hall if you're looking for some unique and local...

We had a nice meal here. Lots of menu choices and we were ok with the pay first and wait for the food to come to you service. I had the chicken salad warp and was disappointed - it had limited chicken salad and a lot of lettuce. It tasted good but it was a lot of lettuce and tortilla. My wife ordered a ham and cheese sandwich and they asked if she wanted chips or salad. She thought they were included and said salad, but that cost extra which she did not realize until she paid. That seemed odd to us. The place has a nice local vibe but it was not a 5 for us. VictorB

One of many fun spots to visit when in Palmer. There is always wonderful local art on display and for sale on the walls, excellent service and unbelievable baked goods to choose from (today was a fresh strawberry scone for me). They have really tasty daily soup, quiche and salad specials and a pretty extensive regular menu. Many gluten free and vegan choices as well. Of course, they also know how to make a great cup of coffee! Check their Facebook page for upcoming events, they often host area and touring musicians.
