The Pioneer Motel — Hotel in Palmer

Manager disrespectful to my wife. Insulted my children who are 11 and 9 not 5. This person has issues with the truth. WHen she asked my wife to bring the kids inside my wife complied and was not rude. When i spoke to her for thirty minutes at checkout she never mentioned me paying for a broken shovel. I was called by her an hour later and she wanted fifty dollars for urine stained sheets she found under a sink. My wife told her our kids slept on an air mattress with their own blanket and did not pee on any sheets. My wife also insisted that paying for the sheets was unreasonable as she hoped the hotel would wash and bleach all sheets between customers anyway. Then the lady called my kids unruly and my wife a bad mother and said she wanted the fifty for the shovel. My wife became angry and asked why she didnt say that before when we were checking out and she said she did. Thats a lie as i was the one who checked us out. What i find disturbing is her manners with my wife were hostile both times and with me she never mentioned anything. Theres something off about this whole thing and you can see by the way she responded to my wifes review below she feels it is acceptable to treat and talk to customers this way and tell blatant lies. She also charged my card after we left which i have disputed given that first is was supposedly for sheets and now a shovel ive never seen or been told about. Avoid this place another question worth asking is why do you leave equipemt unsupervised outside where anyone could steal it? As a business owner is it not your responsibility to keep equipment in a shed or closet and not leaning in the parking lot where it can be stolen or run over. My kids were put in a corner and grounded for supposedly breaking a shovel they said was already broken that they found on the ground we stressed the importance of not touching others things but your lack of compassion and respect was beyond and i dont think you are equiped to be...

This was the most horrible experience I have ever had with a hotel. I stay in hotel or motels almost every weekend for the past 5 years mostly for work, but travel for pleasure a lot as well. I have never run into anyone who is as rude and unreasonable as the owner of this motel. We arrived late and I went to the front desk around 11:30 pm to ask for some extra comforters. The show manager of our company sent me down to get some. I asked the young man for some extra comforters. He seemed to have troubleverything finding them, and I said I would wait. Well, I found out later that he told his mom that I insisted he wake her for the comforters. This was an outright lie. She came to the counter all irate and angry wanting to know what I wanted the comforters for. When I told her she said she would not give me additional comforters and I could go stay somewhere else. I was in shock how someone could get so upset over being asked for a service. She proceeded to complain about the company I had just started with, and threatened to call the police if I did not get off her property in 10 minutes. She wanted to throw the whole group out. The company Hawaiian Moon, puts 4 0r 5 people in one room. But the show manager talked her into letting the others stay. I tried to find out her upset and apologize, but she just got angrier and threatened to call the police again. Even when I sent her the nicest text, she went crazy threatening to call the police. I can almost handle any rough situation as I am good at dealing with people, but this women was impossible. Never would I stay at this place or recommend it to anyone. I saw other reviews on yelp where she berated people for smoking outside the rooms. Beware of what you might say or ask for. You might get your head bit off. Stay away from this place!!!!! After spending the past two weeks in Alaska, it was a pleasant surprise to open the door of my unit after a long day of hiking and driving. ||We have been traveling for approximately two weeks and this motel has been the best yet. I would rate this motel a 10 star if possible. ||The unit was well appointed with coffee pot, toaster, microwave, mini-frig and TV. They even had Kcups and to go cups for our morning coffee. ||The unit couldn’t have been any cleaner. They use bright white towels and linens, so you know exactly what you are putting against your body. ||The Pioneer Motel owner and manager are top notch. This was definitely a highlight of our accommodation stays. ||When standing on a glacier 5 hours away, I called the motel and advised them I would be arriving after midnight.
