China Queen — Restaurant in Palmetto

Wish I can do NO STARS! First time customer here,heard great things about the place but it was a lie.I called in to place a pick up hoping to receive great customer service like any other restaurant.The menu is pretty small/blurry on Facebook so I asked the lady can she explain what comes with the kids chicken tender combos (I couldn’t read if it said fries or rice).She replied “Can you hurry up?” I responded in disbelief and said “excuse me mam are you talking to me?” She said “yes I have two customers in line,you need to hurry up,matter a fact I’m placing you on brief hold” so now I’m furious WAITING because what just happened??? She came back and I said “Did you just say I need to hurry up because you have two customers in line are you serious?!” (I had to correct her in the most humbling manner) She said “I’m sorry so sorry ,I’m having a bad day today please order now” I replied “NO EXCUSES MAM we all are,I want to speak to your manager! I no longer want to order with you!” .. gives the manager the phone he said “hello” .. I said ”hey I’m new in the area and wanted to place a order” (trying to explain what just happened) within 5 secs he interrupted me and said “no you call other location BYE” AND HUNG UP DEAD IN MY FACE ..IF YOU WANT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE DONT GO HERE! THEY ARE RUDE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!!! NEVER...

We tried this place the other day but will not return. Gave 1 star because you can't give zero. The wontons in the wonton soup actually tasted spoiled and we couldn't even eat it! Also the crackers in the bags were dry and tasteless, the worst we have ever had anywhere! The entrees were somewhat decent, although my snow peas were mushy. The fortune cookies were absolutely stale and had no flavor at all. Plus, the inside of the store was super hot, like with no air conditioning (and it was a super hot, humid day).The best thing I can say about it is that the order was ready quickly and the young girl who waited on me was friendly...but with subpar food, we won't return. That is disappointing, because we were hoping to find a new favorite Chinese takeout place. Oh, well. We will keep...

This place was what sold me on my house. Being that I eat Chinese food at least once a week it was import for me to find something relatively close that had good (American) Chinese food. I always order chicken and mixed vegetables but add curry sauce. It is my test to see how good a joint is. Some places won't do it because it is custom and not something in the menu. From day 1 I never had a problem with this place, I go at least once a week for the last 3 years. The lady who's always there is so friendly and always asks about my kids etc. and always has a smile and will serve you even if they're about to close. Ps. the egg rolls are rolled there and always stuffed nice and tight, and the Singapore noodles are...
