The Smoking Chic Cafe — Restaurant in Palmetto

First I want to say this is my second time eating at this restaurant and both times have been great!! I want to talk about how Gooood the Gumbo was that I ordered on Friday I wanted to come back and get another one before it closed but I was too full it was enough for me and I was so pleased with hot and fresh everything was all meats with cooked to perfection and the lady that took my ordered assured me I was going to be pleased and babyyyy I’m happy I chose the meal of the day !! I went there after seeing the pictures and found that it was a totally different place called Clover Cafe. The staff was polite. The food was awful. I ordered shrimp and grits and was given plain grits with no butter or salt or flavor for that matter, and the shrimp tasted like those cheap shrimp you buy out of Walmart to make quick salads. I also ordered very salty wings that looked like they had been beat to death before they were cooked cause they were brown inside. The lemonade was passable since it wasn't fountain lemonade. Service was good but my wife ate there and afterwards had an allergic reaction to fish. Food was not the same and definitely was some new faces and I go there quite often. It’s been a lot of horror stories about the owners and them not able to keep staff so understand if it’s a lack of training. But hope they get it together before anyone else gets sick like my wife and her friend.
