Popi's Place Too — Restaurant in Palmetto

I have been getting to go food shopping reheat during lunch here. I usually stand at the counter and am ignored for a good 15 minutes before someone asks my name and finds the server who took my order. The food has usually been decent and edible and today it took a turn for the worse. I got biscuits and gravy and a side of scrambled eggs , easy enough. When I got the food back the eggs ere sitting in some type of liquid and no it was no condensation from hot food in styrofoam. It was yellow liquid/ I was starving so I took a bite and nope those went in the trash. I am a biscuit lover and the photo online the B&G looked great I opened it and it was still warm but separating just like cracked with oil and grease on top. I tried to mix it in and it still stayed like that: still against my better judgment I went and took a bite . I regret that decision. Tasted nothing like biscuits and gravy: it almost had a rosemary background taste. The preeentation while I understand it was to go but as a fellow service industry employee I still made sure presentation was up to standards when being sent out. It was just he entire to go box was piled with gravy and the biscuit was like tore in half so like in quarters yiu would think with the drowning of gravy it would be soggy or moist. Nope dryer then any biscuit I have ever had and I have been to some places with some terrible food, I'd rather have biscuits from a hospital or jail then there ever again. The whole experience has ruined my once great rating. I will try it again but never the biscuits and gravy not to mention this meal was $16 and it was not...

We sat outside in the covered area used for smokers, because I had my dog Kyro with me. I met three of my friends as a "goodbye" lunch before we leave for Chattanooga to live. I'm extremely relieved to be done with the house, but just realized today some things we left behind that I didn't want to leave, so I'm a little heartbroken over that. It's not the end of the world, though. Life with go on, as long as my mother forgives me.

Anyway, sitting outside was a completely different experience. There was a nice breeze paying through, so it wasn't unbearably hot, and, of course, it was shaded, so that helped, too. The missed star was for the crappy road noise. Especially the large pothole or bump right outside the restaurant that caused all large trucks to 💥BANG💥 CLANG✨ whenever they drove over it. It was very loud and often startled is enough to make someone at the table jump.

But the waitress was amazing, checking on us often, but definitely not hovering. I got the grilled cheese with French fries and it was quite tasty. One friend got the chef salad and it was HUGE, loaded with turkey, ham, and cheese. She had to take half of it home. Another friend got the egg and chicken salad plate. It was loaded with both salads. And the third friend got a tuna salad sandwich with chips and she ate all of it, so it must...

Looks like a nice popis place I love the popi's on 301 in palmetto. Everybody's always kind and helpful there😁. Oh, so remember the original popeyes.By the pirates stadium in brightington, and it was always fabulous.My niece been there many times over the years..... This was so different....... I went into this establishment and was told to choose wherever we wanted to sitt . I chose the Only BOOTH......sat down ....waitress immediatly told us it was for 4 or more people only It's almost closing time, but the waitress insisted that we move .... There were no more booths, so she said there are tables.....she was very rude, so we walked out and left!!!! People should never be treated like this at any of establishment HORRID!!!!! terrible experience at this place. We'll never go back ....... Nothing like the popI's on 301.😘 They are very kind and family orientated This pope's is rude and unkind..... they should get rid of this waitress Because she's costing them money...... She was rude and lost customers today... Forever !!!!! terrible experience It absolutely blows my mind🤯 how some people mistreat potential customers this way.......
