IHOP — Restaurant in Palmhurst

At lanuch of this Ihop was great, awesome, best of the Ihops down here, but like most good things like vehicles go down in value over time, let me start off with the staff, they are usually great servers, awesome people even at other Ihops, but understaff and overwork to bones, the "owner" to this one is not the best to its staff as usually most owners/sups are. I say this since most of my friends started to work for this Ihop as a side job, complaints are as stated. No fexible schedules, mistreatment of staff, being pressured to work more or risk of lost in position, and bring expected to pioritize job over personal life problems ("shouldnt be an issue" owners words) Ive seen good workers come and go from this Ihop who are exceeding expectations, but leave shortly since the mistreatment. Now the food, it was great of course at launch, but the quality did drop overtime, since most of the food in the back is usually just slapped on the grill and cooked with timers, should be easy right? I guess not since mutiple times I've personally went, undercooked burgers either I've been super unlucky or just the cook that is working during at that Ihop cant time cooking meat or even pancakes since my signifcant other took two bites from the new blueberry pancake item, few hours later puking her brains out from them being undercooked. Some how not getting food posioning from the new shrimp, but since you just drop them into a fryer usually. Now the "Atmosphere" holy pacific ocean it's cold, im a walking heater that wears nothing but shorts during the cold here, but staying there for an hour for me I get chills, let alone my significant other that has to wear an artic suit from "Rust" to sit there.(if you get it nice, then you know I complain over dealing with stuff overtime) lower the temp. even more holy cow, I see the elderly eat there a lot give them a break yesh.. Another small detail, at night open the area more please.. I would like to eat at another spot that is more away from others without being looked at\judged super close to others while I eat or even just sitting there and enjoying our food. I would definitly like to eat at least on the other side of the booth or a table away from if Its possible, if not okay Ill give yall that one. Other than those complaints 2/5 stars since its been the best Ihop so.far... thats being a little nice about the establishment overall. We were there a week ago and although our service was slow, we enjoyed our meal once it arrived. We had to ask for refills on our coffee & actually had to go up to waiter work station and ask for more coffee. We thought we’d give it another try today, one week later. That was not a good decision on our part. We ordered coffee, some of our table regular and some decaf. I had ordered decaf & was brought regular so waitress took cup back & said she’d bring me decaf. We waited quite awhile and still no coffee for me. Had to go to waitress work counter and ask them to bring me a cup of decaf & more coffee for the table. With a little longer wait I finally got my first cup of coffee. Our waitress took our order and we waited, waited, waited. We were there an hour, tables that had been seated after us had there food but not us, nor did our waitress come back to our table. We went up to who we thought might be a manager ….he wasn’t….we told him our story and asked if he would get us a manager to speak to. He said he would. No manager ever appeared but our food did shortly after that encounter. One person at table said she needed silverware & napkins. Waitress said she would get. We were all served our meals. A couple ladies in our group said there eggs were just warm but was not going to send them back. After all we had waited over an hour. The lady who had asked for silverware never received, she got up, went to waitress work counter got her own silverware and napkins for the table. We also took our coffee pots to the waitress work station to get them refilled as she never brought refills to us after we asked. When this happened we asked if we could speak to the manager once again. That waitress said what now as she walked away. No manager ever came to our table. We asked for our tickets, she brought them and we waited for change. When change was brought, those who paid cash did not get change back only the bills. If you’re going to keep the cash because you don’t want to make change, then make your menu prices accordingly…only in even $$$. Our group of 12 will not be back...

Im not one or have ever been a person to leave any negative reviews but the service and this place just 0/10, my party and I got seated but no server ever came to ask for drinks or our order,for about 30 minutes we sat there until I finally decided to go ask a group of servers just standing and having a conversation if we could get a server since I had seeen a couple parties that got there maybe 15 after and and had already got seated and got their drink orders, then I understand food take a bit to make and all understandable our whole table got served except my little brother, he was the last person served at the table he might’ve got the most simple thing on there the chicken tenders, and then still he was missing the ranch, like cmon 20 to 30 min for 2 chicken tenders and the fries and no ranch, finally we could finish eating, throughout service server never came back to ask if we needed anything else or any refills, how the food was etc… we had to ask another employee if we could get the bill , server was nowhere to be found, other employee had to go get her to get us bill (thank you to that employee very kind only one with great customer service) I didn’t not bother getting servers name , not of importance after this experience. I’ve never gone to eat a place and I had to go look for my own server , place wasn’t too busy . I myself have worked in customer service And have had to wait on people and I’ve never had someone have an experience like this, service sucked I hope...
