We visited here for a dinner. It is a nice little restaurant with authentic Thai food. The waitress was very kind and accommodative. The chef was great too. The taste of the Thai pad and fried rice was good. But the rice was sticking together. It gave a feel of over cooked fried rice. But the taste of the crab fried rice was wonderful. It took me to my olden days with Thai food. The soup was great too. They provide the free internet connection. So it was wonderful place to spend your time lonely doing your work / home work with the nice Thai dinner. The environment was quiet and prestine for the visitors to converse with in their table. I could see lot of visitors enjoying their food alone in their table with their work going on quietly. I felt that was very unique about this restaurant. It indirectly gives an environment for the people who wants to spend time with themselves. The decorations were quite simple and artistic. Good work management. Apt place to spend the evening with a tasty dinner. Thank so much and keep continuing the good work.

Thai time...looking for a yummy pad thai dish that has good flavors and just enough spice to appeal to my mothers heritage. The fried rice was delicious with chicken. Properly cooked rice with blends of vegetables and scallions. Get the “spicy “ for heat level. Pad Thai with chicken was also yummy with smaller noodle stands and mixed scallions and egg scrambled in. Very flavorful with a balance of salt and tamarind. There was very little bean sprouts in the mix but still okay. The staff is Michelin rating, attentive and efficient. Very modern and clean interior, a bit too Palo Alto looking. Could use some more cultural art that remind the customer that they are enjoying more than food. Maybe a painting here or there. But I do appreciate that the newer furniture and nothing is broken or repaired by “my cousin’s uncle..”

Siam is a unique Thai joint. It feels like a restaurant but everything is home-style cooked. It's almost as if your Thai aunt is cooking for you. The food is hearty and tasty, and it absolutely is made with care. But it somewhat is different (not in a good or bad way) than commercial food for pleasing foodies. The fried rice, pad Thai, roti, and green curry all have a slightly bland bend to it with solid ingredients and heartfelt preparation. The dishes are prepared with simplicity, staying honest to the basics. So then why 3 stars? It's the price... this has to be one of the most priciest Thai food in the Bay Area. Yes I understand that it is Palo Alto. Yes I understand that there has been inflation. But if you are going for the homely feel, the prices must match to it. It's simply too expensive for what you get.

First and last time we'll ever order from this restaurant. We ordered a delivery because I'm getting over an illness, and our usual Thai place is closed on Sundays.

Starting with the food, we ordered approximately the same thing we do at the other place, a couple of curries, a couple orders of satay, and we ordered the sticky rice since they don't have coconut rice at Siam. When the ordered arrived (more on that later) we looked at it and said "that's it?". The portion sizes on the two currys and the sticky rice were both small. Each curry came in a plastic pint deli container (more on that later) that was more very thin curry than meat and vegetable content. The taste of the curries was nothing memorable, and the two different kinds of curry didn't taste much different from each other. Maybe it was because of how watery they were. The two "servings" (lumps) of sticky rice..was barely a serving size, if that, at least it lived up to its name. The satay that arrived didn't live up to the photo when ordering, the chicken wasn't marinated, and was thin and tasteless. The peanut sauce was unmemorable and the little bit of salad with it was just that, little.

When it was delivered, apparently they had placed the curries on top of the tray container for the satay, and it had tipped over during transport and leaked a little. The curries were sealed it a separate bag, but they were only in typical deli style plastic pint containers. The sticky lum..rice were just rolled up in some tin foil.

Obviously value wise I don't think very highly of a place where the portions, quality, packaging, and taste is less than, while the price is higher than other local Thai restaurants, for the same dishes.

I'm giving Siam two stars only because I'm as skeptical of one star reviews as I am of five star reviews, and the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle, but the word "fine cuisine" isn't in that truth for this...

I have personally been to this place twice. On both occasions the server was very nice. After not having a good experience the first time..My friend wanted to try going back because we couldn't think of anywhere to go to have dinner since we are not from the area...Anyways I will write two different reviews..Just in case I am only able to write one review I will mention the second time that we went as well. plain and simple the people in the back work hard and I respect that But the cooks are very unsanitary, they brought us food that was contaminated both visits. On the second visit.. the server brought out cook over to our table..After we spoke about the trash that was found in my food and the awkward taste.. the cook apologized and stood there and laughed at me ..it wasn't a nervous laugh of embarrassment it was a laugh of disrespect... The server asked if I wanted a discount.. I paid full price and gave a normal tip..And decided to finally write a review...I had dinner there about a month ago..I will write another review..Why did I pay and give regula tip..Because it would have probably meant something to the person I was with If I didnt let things slide...If I had been there by myself I would have had the owner on the phone and would not have paid a dime for the food. I will write another review in full detail if this doesn't post or is taken down..Other than that..I hope this helps someone.Go some place else that has respect for themselves and who has respect for their customers..Awful dining experience.I will wait a few days or maybe a few weeks before I write my next review of this place.. Unspeakable gross and if you have been here and experienced what I have experienced..Please write a review so they can either get it together...

The food is here is thoughtfully made and wonderfully layered in both flavors and textures. We ordered two meals so far during our COVID-19 shelter in place. TOTALLY WORTH IT. We need more restaurants like this to stay in business in our community, so please stop and visit this family-owned small business.

My mom is Thai and this is one of the few Thai restaurants she orders from.

We ordered the Papaya Salad, Pad See Ew / See Ew Noodle (broccoli and flat rice noodles), Pad Thai, Mussaman Curry, Panang Curry. And sticky rice and mangoes for dessert. The papaya salad was tangy, crunchy, and sweet and cold. The Pad Thai was not the usual oily mess we’ve had at other restaurants. Super flavorful and one of the first dishes finished at our house. Mussaman Curry: A bit spicy for me, but the spicy food lovers in our house loved it. Panang Curry: The detail that goes into scalloping each of the edges of the vegetables is indicative of the detail and care put into the cooking. Even in a takeout box it looked beautiful. Loved the coconut flavor and the fact that it was mild but still flavorful. (Side note: it might not look like a lot of curry when you get the container, but that’s because it’s full of flavor. We made a big pot of rice for our meal to go with the two curries at home. The curries lasted us a couple days). Khao Neow Ma Muang (Sticky rice and mango): SO. GOOD. That i bought two and rationed them out over a few days.

As far as shelter in place, I picked this up at the entrance to the store. Everything was super tidy / sanitary / easy for me to pick up. I had driven all the way from San Jose to pick up a meal for my mom's 70th birthday, I appreciated that extra care and...
