Our friends birthday group went to Valley Inn 4 times in the past 6 months. We had chicken each time. We had dinner Thursday Sept 19 and none of us ordered chicken. My friend ordered the crusted cod , which was horrible. Another person ordered the entree salad with chicken. The entree salad was a plate of old warm lettuce with hard busser of chicken on it. No tomato, onion, cheese nothing but old lettuce! My 5 yr old grandchild could have made it. Everytime we have gone to Valley Inn, our waitress takes the order and returns to the table to deliver the food. After she delivers the food you never see her again until you flag her down to get the check. We have cleared our own tables and gotten our own to go containers every time!!! I have visited many restaurants in my 60 years on this planet and have NEVER Ever cleared my table and gotten my own to go containers. The waitress gossips at all the tables that had people (I guess regulars) and COMPLETELY ignores our group. We did ask the busser for soda and extra plates that we needed. She was very accommodating. She was taking the place of the waitress. We had to wait again for our check and the Busser showed up at our table with our Check. The waitress didn’t even bring it to our table. A white haired woman appeared at our table to find out what our problem was. She never identified herself so who knows who this woman was. She brought fresh grilled chicken to take the place of the old hard grilled chicken. She was condescending in her attitude. Needless to say Valley Inn can keep their fried chicken and condescending white haired woman. I guess they did not learn from Restaurant...
Read moreThis place is an actual joke. First of all, we sat at our table for over 2 hours just waiting for our food to even come to the table, listening to the servers complain to every. single. table. about how short staffed they are… Everyone is short staffed, we get it, but we didn’t come here to listen to you complain for hours on end. The steak tastes like rubber, and the fries came with a fried sardine in them. My mom has an allergy to fish and we were not told at any point, nor was it stated on the menu, that these items were cross contaminated, let alone, served together. We asked to speak to a manager, who took 45 minutes to even come to the table, and dragged her cook (Joe) out of the kitchen, and presented him as the problem, which was already unprofessional enough. We calmly told them that this was a huge problem, as our mom has a severe severe allergy, to which the manager said “I can’t with this, I can’t” and walked away. Meanwhile, Joe (the cook) stayed at our table, getting super hostile, yelling and swearing at us about how it’s our fault for not telling them about the allergy (we ordered nothing with fish in it) and that they have no responsibility to disclose that EVERYTHING IS COOKED IN THE SAME OIL. So apparently here, you have to specifically tell them if you would like your fries to be just fries, and not fried sardines. This is the most unprofessional, and straight up disgusting place I have ever been to. If you have any other options, go...
Read moreLove this place! Actually.... it's my hideout! Sharon is by far the best bartender: personable, genuine and knows how to handle a rough crowd if the situation arises. Becky and Dee are also great! Calamari is better than most high-scale or chain restaurants that southsiders are accustomed to (maggianos, tuscany, carrabbas). Calamari is tender, has just enough breading and doesn't have a billion tentacles. If you're a millennial douche looking for free beer, steal it out of your mom's garage. Great local place with happy, friendly patrons :-) Also, to the people who are on here whining about the service, oh, I'm so sorry! Did you need mamam to wipey your boogeys, too? Jesus H Christ, sorry they weren't up to your McDonalds kiss your ass and take a verbal beating standards. The owners are there most days of the week and will gladly address any problems....you just need to say something to them instead of going to a social media site whining like a baby. Have been a patron since 2005 and will keep coming back for the great food, service and atmosphere. There's a McDonald's on 111th & Southwest highway that will likely cater to your excessive...
