Bomber? I think they mean bummer... We've been meaning to stop by for ages and we finally did. We were super excited, but instead of finding a new local gem to enjoy, we now finally understand why another reviewer called the subs "disrespectful." At first we thought they just meant because of the politics plastered everywhere or the very "strange" service... but no... it's the heavily processed and questionably fresh nature of every single ingredient. Fake "cheese product" instead of real cheese, incredibly sparse meat (but that was a relief because of how gray and weird it looked - the pastrami looked fine but just had no flavor other than sodium). The bread is indeed soft, but in that hyper-processed chock-full-o-dough conditioners sort of way, not due to freshness. Also, if it's a cold sub, why was everything so floppy and room temp?? The whole sandwich smelled weird overall... my stomach turned and I stopped after about 2 inches of my 6" sub. Imagine "white people dinner" that's been sitting out at a patriotic picnic in the heat all day.... that encapsulates the experience perfectly. I think they stay in business because of people who enjoy bland and predictable food, of which there are many. So, if you enjoy well-seasoned and more refined food, just don't bother. Go to Dino's if you want another local option, or screw local and just go to Firehouse. Now THAT'S an all-American sort of place! Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go fly my American flag at half mast in honor of this tragedy.

Update: Wow, didn't realize my review would be controversial enough to be attacked in other reviews. Neat... I guess. In response to the owner: I really was very excited to try y'all, and I'm actually very sorry that I do stand behind my negative review, especially because it's a small business. I even included pictures so people could see I wasn't using hyperbole (too bad smell-o-vision never came to be... well, for how this sandwich smelled, it's really for the best). To those who called me a snowflake, um, thank you?? They're very pretty and I'm a Texan so I don't see them much. And as for the main argument against my review, that the sandwiches are only good if you stuff them with all the works, well... agree to vehemently disagree. If you can't make plain bread, cheese, and meat taste good with simple condiments... Then there's something horrifically wrong and the entire operation should be scrutinized. My absolute favorite sandwich in the world is a French jambon beurre which is plain baguette, plain butter, plain ham, plain Swiss, period, and really not very much meat and cheese is used, just a slice or two, and it's absolutely divine. Think on that.

Owners: I respectfully beseech that you take the negative reviews to heart - they are genuine reflections of real experiences at your shop in recent times, not lies. Root out the quality and consistency issues that clearly exist lest you keep getting frustrating reviews like...

Very disappointed. The an older lady took my order and my sub was made correct, but my brother in law’s was made incorrect. He asked for a turkey ONLY meat on his double meat sub and twice the Hispanic girl messed up on his sub taking one of the meats off the sub and replacing it with another meat. Then when she brought his sandwich out she did not have the sandwich on the paper it was directly set on the dirty plastic tray! Disgusting 🤢 I had paid for a triple bomber for my son to take home when I had ordered my bomber, but when the older lady brought the sandwich to the table I made sure to open and check the sandwich since my brother in law had so much trouble with his sandwich. When I opened to check the sandwich was NOT made correctly and I took it up to the counter and told the older lady I just wanted a refund. She said they could fix it but it had lettuce and it was all through the sandwich. I told her no because I was already annoyed they messed up a $17.25 sandwich but how they had set my brother in laws sandwich on the dirty tray. The older lady told me she would take care of my refund since there was an Arlington Police Officer getting a sandwich in line. I went back to sit with my family and then she comes out with the sandwich telling me she does not know how to refund back to my credit card. I told her I did not want the sandwich and wanted my money back. She comes back to the table with $17.00 in cash a sets it on the table but tells me she needs my credit card receipt. I gave her the receipt and then went to the counter and told her I was not refunded the correct amount. She was clearly upset and threw two dollars at me on the counter saying just take it out of my tips! I told her I wanted to be fair and just wanted the money back that I paid for. The Hispanic girl kept saying “They need it much more than you” and she kept saying that over and over while we were leaving! I have NEVER experienced such rudeness and unprofessional behavior from someone like that before. We did not deserve that type of treatment and what’s crazy is I was nice and did not lower myself to their standards. This establishment was so much better when the nice lady that was German worked there. If she is still the owner it makes me sad to have to write about her sub sandwich shop because if she was there this incident and foul up on our sandwich’s would not...

Eh not had at all just not my typical cup of tea. I decided to go here to step outside my usual box. I can see why it's popular for those that like this type of sandwich but for me I just felt like something was missing. I ordered a regular straight up even though I don't like pastrami I thought let me just try it. it's a popular place and maybe all the ingredients together it'll be great and it was just okay to me. Toomuch oil and I ended up taking the pastrami off of my sandwich which made it better but I still felt llike there was something missing and I don't like this with American cheese. Next time if I return I will get the Supreme with no pastrami and I think I'll like it better with the provolone cheese. Iwonder now if they have pepperoni. I think id love it with that. Quick service although the girls were chatty. Just a small pet peeve of mine when I go to different places I feel like small chatty personal talk should stop in the presence of customers but that's just me. UPDATE the more I thought about it I think it's missing Red Onion I think that's what my taste buds were after. I love red onion in my salads Burgers sub sandwiches on...

I had my very first experience about a week ago at Jo-Ed's and the two young girls working the counter were very polite and helpful. They knew it was my family's first time and gave us a run-through of the menu. My husband and I ordered two different subs - the Bomber Supreme and the Chicken Salad. Both were excellent. We also tried the German potato salad and that was also amazingly good. I do like that it was not mayo based. However, my second experience was over the phone and the short attitude that was given was enough for me to think twice if I want to come back. I've never heard such a quick scoff on the phone for just a simple question, especially since I'm not a regular customer and was hoping to be. We shall see.

This place has been here for a really long time; nothing has changed since ive been coming here and that is a good thing! They make great sub sandwiches. The staff are always welcoming, menue is small, showing that you dont need a hundred items on a menue to be successful. The 12" original bomber is what i usually get and its always good. Located right off of 303/pioneer parkway and between fielder and bowen roads. Right next to Two Wheel World. Check em out!
