I will NEVER order food from here again. If someone offered to pay for my food from this restaurant, I would STILL decline. Today (Monday, April 14, 2025, between 6:30 pm and 7:15 pm),I went in to order lo mein for my grandmother and ordered myself the sesame chicken with chicken fried rice meal. The lady making the plates put the rice on my plate and started to scoop sesame chicken on my plate. She was PURPOSELY bypassing the fresher looking chicken on top to dig all the way at the bottom to give me the older chicken. Now if I was eating the food right away, I would not have complained. However, I am the caregiver for my grandparents and I knew that I would be eating much later since I had to help my grandparents take care of a few things around the house. I politely asked the worker if she could instead scoop my sesame chicken from the top instead of the bottom. I asked so that when I warm my food up later it may still warm up nicely. She then responds (after I asked her several times to scoop from the top) "that is it", (meaning my plate was at the max limit for that meal). So I had to order a second plate (to keep down confusion) and tried to ask again (before she started scooping) to take from the top. Even when I asked prior to her scooping, she STILL did what she wanted to do. My family has supported this local restaurant for well over 20 years, but today...today was the LAST straw. You come into our communities, want our business, want our dollars, are rarely friendly, barely speak, and then want to offer mediocre food too just because you feel like you can. As God is my witness, I will NEVER eat from this establishment again!!! AND, I hope that the universe sends a plethora of new and delicious Chinese restaurant options to this area/community that has excellent customer service so that the good, hard-working, supportive people of this community can have the food and services that we deserve. I warmed my food up tonight and most of my sesame chicken chunks were hard to chew, which is what I was trying to prevent. NEVER again smh! And when I communicate this to my family...they won't be supporting this business...
Read moreHadn't been to this place in over 20 years ago after moving from the area. Walked in on an exchange with customer and a employee. Another customer was leaving and added, " man y'all need to watch how you talk to people, it don't take all that". The other customer was very upset as to the service size given and the way they spoke to her. She stated, you all seem to be getting more and more dismissive toward Black people. You didn't say hello and treated me as if you really didn't want to serve me. Said she'd been coming here for years and lately you all seem to treat us(Black folk) in a negative way. I totally understood how she felt. Some weeks back I had stopped by the Hair supply place at South DeKalb Mall on Candler road (can't even recall the name) looking for an afro for a 70 theme birthday party. Again I don't live in the area, but was stopping in various beauty supply stores as I was heading home for the right fro. Needless to say this lady followed me in the store. I asked to see a particular wig. She pointed to it and told me "See". I said ma'am can you get it down so I can see it? She took it down and placed it on a self away from me. I said ma'am, can I hold the wig and see it up close. This women turned, pointed again at the wig and said, "you see it, it's right there". I immediately walked away and asked for the manager. This women apologized and said she'd report her. When I got home I looked at the reviews. I later called the store and asked for the store manager again. Told her I was just in the store. Said she'd speak to the employee. I said, judging by the reviews it is obvious to me that this employee has been discriminating against and disrespecting customers for many years and it is obvious you're not going to do anything about it. I told her I really don't shop there and will let everyone I know how I was treated. Personally this is another reason for black folk to patronize businesses that are worthy...
Read moreBack then prices for the food were reasonable between 5 to 8 dollars. When I recently checked this place out again after a few long years the prices in this place are no longer competitive / reasonable as most things on the menu is at least 11 to 13 dollars average as the food, Serving amounts still the same with prices being raised the same as the other places like this near where I live.
Yea l instantly walked out the door leaving this place once I seen these prices on that menu and I seen pictures of reviews someone posted 3 or 4+ months ago where are the prices look similar to what I was speaking of within the 5 to 8 dollars range before these current drastically raised prices.
The ones on Moreland avenue and Wesley chapel are out of business as this CC location got the same fate coming if they do not lower their prices back close to how they were before the drastic price increases, IMO.
Feels like we paying more while getting less these days and Unfortunately that's how it is until things get better for the overall economy where prices go back down on a lot of things we buy.
Some people say they seen homeless bums sitting or standing near the entrance, No I haven't seen any myself that day and I agree CC management needs to get them away from their place or Get the police on them to make sure they don't come back around. Otherwise those kind of people are going to turn customers off where they won't...
