Regretfully I feel I have to write this review. Last year 2024 my daughter had her SENIOR prom. She looked at a lot of dress makers she wanted to support a small female black owned business.

I didn’t hesitate and paid in 2 payments a full $1700. When she got dressed for the prom we noticed that the dress was off center, but by then it was too late to do anything else.

While at the prom no longer than 1-2 hrs she’s calling me crying cus her dress fell apart. Needless to say she was humiliated and embarrassed, plus the whole experience was ruined for her.

I reached out to the owner and was asked to send the dress back with rush postage to ensure it got there which we did. They were supposed to fix it and mail it out to us by July 1st. We were very patient. The dress was not returned, they never called or tried to contact us at all. We called and texted several more times but still no communication.

Recently I reached out again to request a full refund because obviously they never planned on sending the dress back even though we technically owned it because it was paid in full. We were given a partial refund. They said that they are keeping the rest of the money as a “rental fee”. This was NEVER an agreement! I PURCHASED a dress for $1700! I never asked, inquired or sought out any information about “renting a dress”. Seeing as the dress fell apart during her prom which forced her to have to leave early, being told they would fix it and send it back but not keeping their word, my daughter not having her SENIOR PROM DRESS, not having the courtesy of ever reaching back out, my daughter is hurt by this. She loved her dress. The fact i was told the dress would be fixed and they just kept it. Therefore i feel as we deserve a FULL refund, not a partial. If you buy an article of clothing from a department store and the first time you wear it it falls apart. When you take it back they’re not gonna give you a partial refund. They’ll give you a brand new article of clothing or a FULL refund. Why should this be any different?

It was a night in my daughters life that she can’t get back. We dont have the dress ,and my daughters SENIOR prom was ruined by the dress falling apart.

After asking for a full refund, we are being told that we are not getting a full refund because she wore the dress (for not even 2 hrs) they are charging us a “RENTAL FEE” for wearing a dress that was bought and fell apart as she wore it. We didnt RENT a dress we BOUGHT a dress that she could keep for a keepsake to go along with her memories. Now she has no dress and nightmares instead of memories.

So ladies its prom season and these young ladies are anticipating a big event in their lives, just be cautious who you spend your money with. check out reviews and double check their work. If I could give her a million zero stars I would. She needs to be cancelled and closed down . After she received my money I never heard from her again unless I reached out and they barely would answer the phone. I contracted Jessica January 2024 to design my daughter’s prom dress after our consultation the total was $2250. In all I paid $2300 . She assured me the dress would be done March 28, 2024 and she would keep me in the loop in between time. Months go by and I reach out like hey any updates on the dress no response I had to call from my daughters phone then they answered. It’s not even Jessica otp it’s Stacy with this fake professional voice giving me the run around with a lot of fake seamstress talk. All she does is lie when you get her otp. Lying about how she thought she sent me the fabric but it must’ve been a glitch in their phone service smmfh then days go by she finally send me some pic of some very cheap looking fabric and I flat out told her I don’t like that it looks cheap that’s not what we asked for. Then it’s more lies after that I asked her can I see pics of the dress it always it’s never pic ready even two days before it’s date to be finished. They are liars and scammers if you ask me her work is very very basic. All she does is slap some rhinestones on mesh fabric and maybe some feathers. Honestly I think she tried to order my dress from one of them websites over seas and she was going to alter it but it still hadn’t came She is a FRAUD . She does not stand by her contract and she is very unprofessional with that basic work she does she is the temu of designers after looking at all her work it’s nothing to brag about at all. However after demanding my full refund she sent it back and had the nerve to ask me can I not post about this on social media. Sadly enough she has ruined prom for my daughter and I because of her we may have to cancel because prom is a month away and we have no dress. I purchased a dress from Jessica and at first she had amazing customer service she was letting me know when I should expect it and other details. However, i ordered this dress a full month before my actual date. The week of the time i need it comes and she becomes unresponsive I had to email and text her multiple times because she had told me the dress would shipped out the week before and I wasnt provided with a shipping number. After multiple texts and emails she finally responds after I tell her if I hadn’t heard from her i would dispute the charge, she responds with the dress had still not been shipped out and she would ship it out 2 days before i needed it and she upgraded my shipping to express. Which was fine i get it things happen however, the not responding was totally unprofessional and when I did get the dress it was not what I wanted. The feathers were falling off and it didn’t even wrap the dress how the picture had them, and the rhinestones were falling off. It was cheaply thrown together!
