First time here around 11:30am. The food is very overpriced, even considering the current inflation. They also put way TOO MUCH SALT/seasoning on my food! Hard to enjoy it. I also wasn't sure it was actually fresh (possibly frozen). I was told there would be a 10 min wait time but the wait was more like 30+ mins. I should have just gone to Pappadeux. Spent $62 just for 2 crab clusters, 1/2 lb of shrimp, 1 potato, half ear of corn, and small broccoli ($40 of this was for 2 crab clusters @ 28.99 per lb). Not sure I will return and feel like I need to go check my blood pressure and drink a ton of water! I love this place. Everything is amazingly portioned. The crabs legs are meaty and very decently priced. I adore the green mussels myself. They're deliciously fat and 2 lbs is more than enough for one person to become full without a side. They're $12.99 and absoluyely worth it. I adore that price because someone took me to a similiar shop called the Big Tuna and there 1 lb of tiny under cooked green mussels is the same price. The potatoes are big and compliment perfectly. I love the seasoning selections here and they even offer garlic butter in addition to origional. The staff is friendly if you are friebdly first, something hard to find on Flat Shoals. I have been coming here since 2017. Yes, The place is very much a hole in the wall, but the food is good!! The seafood is always fresh. Several times, I have seen them open boxes of crab from Nova Scotia. I like that you can get the seafood uncooked or cooked/seasoned. I always get crab-legs seasoned with mild and old-bay seasoning, with corn and a potato. They are some of the best crab-legs I have had, and I have had PLENTY! plus they are never overcooked. It can get crowded during peak times and there is limited parking, but I have never waited longer than 15 mins for my food. They do take EBT but you cannot place an order with EBT over the phone.
