I started to call the manager to complain but this will do for now. My mother is a senior citizen and went inside to order lunch. Jakari, the young man at the register had an attitude with her, she says. She stated that he acted liked he didn't want to work and gave her a cup for tea which he was suppose to get. He made it seem like it was her fault when she gave him the cup back. She also had to wait a long time. People were coming in after her and had gotten their orders before her. She was not treated with any courtesy and respect. This guy better hope he live to get her age. If you don't want to serve people and at least pretend like you like your job then do yourself a favor and don't get a job in customer service. This really upset her and she will not be going back. They also lock the doors sometimes so you have no choice but to go through the drive thru. Make up your minds people. Are you open or closed for dine in or take out. JAKARI needs to be working in the back or not at all. I know its fast food but no one at any age deserves that kind of treatment. He needs a class in customer service. I would stand up for elderly people who are blatantly disrespected. If you can't stay away from this Popeyes then at least stay away from the red beans and rice and make sure your chicken is cooked and not too salty. The red beans and rice is either old or too dry or spoiled. One time I went there and they only gave me an order of soupy beans, no rice. The chicken was salty and dry. After sitting in line for nearly 15 minutes to place my order I arrived at the speaker and give my coupon code. The cashier is at first confused as to why I am reading numbers to her. And when I explained that it is the coupon code for the app she then says "Oh what is the coupon for?" I tell her how the coupon reads and she says I'm sorry we are out of chicken tenders. I then attempt to open an alternate coupon code in the app however since the original code was open it would not allow me to select a different one. As I attempted to explain this to the cashier and ask if I should come around for her assistance she tells me that she cannot take my order at the drive-up window and that I would need to open the coupon in my app or pay full price a $9 price difference. I decided to wait and dine at another establishment. I must say that perhaps their inability to assist me with the coupon was to my benefit because as I drove off I saw two huge rats emerging from near the rear door of the restaurant. Read moreAfter a wonderful drive-in Easter service we decided to drive across the city to get some Popeye's for lunch. We ordered 2 shrimp tack box $5 each, an extra spicy chicken wing, one tackle box side was red beans and rice, the other side was slaw, we ordered a 3 pc combo spicy, strawberry drink and a strawberry cream cheese pie. The meal was cold cold cold. The only thing that had any temperature was the pie and it was dried out only an empty shell (the half fingernail of cream cheese outside the shell was dry). No strawberry, so I guess the pie was a day or two old. Not only that but my receipt also shows a charge of $4 for a shrimp tack box........?????? I called the restaurant within the hour only to have the phone ring for 15 minutes before someone picked it up and hung up. Needless to say, the phone remained busy afterwards. I reached out to Popeye's on their Twitter account and got a response a few days later that my information would be forwarded to appropriate personnel. I haven't heard anything from any personnel from Popeye's. I will continue to follow up with Popeye's on this matter because of the deplorable food and they stole from me. I want a full refund.
