Spanky's Chicken & Seafood Lounge — Restaurant in Panthersville

We were so excited about visiting Spanky's,needless to say our experience was as follows: Parking lot extremely dark, so my girlfriend and I decided let's place a to go order over the phone. We were told they don't take over the phone to go orders. We decided to go in since we saw others going in. We told the staff we would dine in. The server was very unprofessional, telling us and the table behind us that she will talk about the menu to both tables at the same time. My girlfriend had to go to the restroom so I asked the server,and she said it was located outside,but it was in the building. My girlfriend proceeded to go to the restroom and the 2nd exit door wouldn't open. The bartender asked a gentleman that work there to open the door,he had difficulty getting the door open. Once he did get it open my girlfriend proceeded to go to the unsafe location and immediately turned around because some men were hanging around outside. The employee who opened the door said don't worry they work here. We waited about 30 minutes for our food, and once we got it,the food was packed up for us to take even though we said dine in. We got our bill,and 59.00 dollars worth of food and drinks 8.85 for gratuity 2.35 assessment fee,and 11.24 tip ended being 86.16 dollars. We asked the server about it and she said there is a mandatory 15 percent gratuity for the kitchen, and a fee for using a card. As we examined the bill further,we see the server added an unauthorized 11.24 tip. We spoke with another employee who,got the manager who broked it down to us,but was unable to justify the extra tip,so she refunded that portion back. Once we got home the food was tasty,but please pay attention to your bill at this place. It's ashame they actually have good food. We had the Cajun salmon,and the Cajun chicken,along with the wings and fries. We also ordered the frozen lemonade that really wasn't frozen a gentleman was sitting at the bar with a pint of liquor, and giving shots to our waiteress. The unsafe parking lot with very little lights, terrible potholes, bathroom located outside, employees hanging outside and, sneaky waitress adding an unauthorized tip when gratuity is already there.Makes you not want to come here. Not to mention this is a fire hazard,...

So my sister and myself had been dying to patronize this black owned business. We had high expectations based on their own postings on ig and a few food reviewers we like..... This is the very last time I go somewhere based off of IG and likes from social media. 1. We get there and they don't have air conditioning. 2. The waitress lies and says they don't have ice. 3. They don't serve alcoholic beverages, but you can bring your own. 4. I tell the girl I'm going to bring a bottle of wine in and she didn't offer cups, nothing... Are we suppose to drink it from the bottle? 5. We place our order and although they AUTOMATICALLY charge a 15% gratuity, we tipped her $17 up front, only from her taking our orders. Right after she told us there's no ice, another server behind her started filling up pitchers with ice..... No lie. Then their own sign says allow them 15-20 minutes for your order. We were there for over an hour and they WERE NOT PACKED, before only one of us got food. They bring my sister food out and it was not even hot. Her turkey was cold and was not tender like those videos you see. I had to go to my car and get her a real fork so she could pull the turkey apart. When my sister asked about my food they said we are waiting on the pasta. I ordered alfredo noodles ($14), chicken ($5), broccoli ($4). How are you selling pasta for over $25 with taxes but don't even give garlic bread, a roll, nothing????? Make it make sense. When I finally got my food over an hour and a half later, it was missing the broccoli. I had to go back inside and ask for it. The flavor of the food was not worth it. The Mac was from the box. They completely missed the mark and killed the vibes that we came for. Will...

This was our first time to GA so also our first dining experience at Spanky's. I have to say, the food was so good!!! Parking is free and spacious. The area felt safe and inviting. & if you crave Soul Food? You will enjoy this restaurant / lounge.

Upon entering we were greeted brightly by the vibrant & amazing Leslee. She was an incredible server, and we were well taken care of from the moment we walked in, until the time we drove away. Southern hospitality is alive and well here folks, or as we say in Hawaii : the Aloha was plenty.

On to the food!!

We ordered a Soul Bowl, Chicken wings, Salmon pasta, Collard Green Gumbo, grilled shrimp and fries, and some delicious sides. Spanky's did not disappoint!!! Their soul bowl comes with cornbread & 3 sides plus one protein. I chose collard greens, sweet potato, and mac n cheese with fried catfish.

I Wish I had ordered the turkey ribs as well because other patrons were ecstatic about them, and they looked so so soooo amazing!! We will be stopping by again to sample them before we head home.

Our party of 5 all gave them a 10 out of 10. & We had enough left over food to take home and enjoy as well, due to the fact that the portions are very generous.

They played a bunch of our favorite tunes on their sound system, so I was dancing in our booth while I savored my meal. I imagine this is a great spot for parties. The lounge vibe was fantastic!!

Another highlight was meeting the owner. Ms Leslee was kind enough to introduce us. You can tell he loves what he does and is authentic about caring for his customers. We left extremely happy.
